I like the let wing myth that Reagan was going to start WW3 and the Soviet Union wasn't going away so we need to live with them and probably be like them eventually
Then when the shit show collapses under the economic onslaught and military build up by RR the Soviet Union was always going to collapse anyway and we? had nothing to do with it

I didn’t think the bit was particularly funny, but I love how every critique of concentrated wealth is perceived here as an endorsement of socialism. Capitalism’s greatest intellectual defenders recognized that allowing its excesses to go unchecked would lead to its destruction.
Being a member of the “owning class” is often a matter of luck. It is often a matter of effort. It is certainly a matter of both luck and effort for a lot of us. Most of us don’t pat ourselves on the back too hard, I hope. Everyone doesn’t have the same advantages we had. -
