Another thing to consider is the 2020 Draft isn’t considered a particularly strong one
If he is in the top 20 it’s a no brained.
If on the edge hard decisions to make
No wrong. It’s this draft that is considered horrible out of Zion, Ja, and maybe Reddish/Barrett.
Reddish is such a bum. Guaranteed bust. He might be a stats guy and put up 20 one day, but he will never be a top 2 guy on a good team. He’s a lesser version of Andrew Wiggins, and Wiggins sucks.
RJ Barrett will probably go the way of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Well rounded but doesn’t do any one thing particularly well, including shooting. Journeyman starter at best.
Wouldn’t bank on anyone besides Zion/Ja being an All Star calibur player

Barrett is a ball hog. He actually has good vision when he does pass. I think he has a chance if he can improve his shot and be less selfish.

FYI ... in a Mock Big Board on The Athletic today ... Nowell was ranked in the 80s
BTW I was seriously asking people what mock draft boards people are looking at... @GreenRiverGatorz said "Most boards now have him creeping near or into the first round."
The only one I saw close to that was NBAdraft.net which has dropped him to 42 now?
The athletic 80s
ESPN ranked 89
SI unranked
BleacherReport ranked 69 (nice)
Is there an actual website/person that is relatively accurate with these things that people like?
If I were the blazers I wouldn't even give him a roster spot
I know you are being sarcastic but I would draft Thybulle over Nowell... And then hope I can teach Thybulle to stand and shoot the corner 3 in the next 2 years.
A legitimate, long, elite defender who can guard 1-3 coming off the bench as a specialist should have appeal.
Justin Holiday is still kicking around the NBA somehow.
I suspect he will move up from those rankings ... but it’s looking to be a stretch to be guaranteed as a 1st rounder
If that is the case, then the right move is to go back to school
the whole idea that now is the time to go does not make any sense. if he wants to leave, great go for it. But he is far from a guaranteed roster spot next year. I like his game but he is a ball dominant guard that is a weak ball handler and not great athleticism for the nba. Could have come back to improve ball-handling and shot a higher volume of 3's close to 40% and then maybe make himself a legit 1st round prospect. He is not a first round lock at all. More than likely a mid 2nd round pick. If you are projected as a 2nd round pick there is a decent chance you don't get drafted. Wish him the best though and at worst hopefully he can get on with one of the big leagues overseas. Not a bad gig either. Just wouldn't advise someone to leave without a first round grade.
what you hearing in Colorado BTP? You just throwing out the educated guess or you been talking to his grandmother/barber?
Also, what’s the latest on Anthony Lamb or any other potential (grad) transfer? I saw SDST had a Guard from WA that was thinking about transferring avg 19 PPG (not as a grad transfer though).

This would be a huge and unexpected development.
I don't know if I read this here, or somewhere else, but I thought that McDaniels wasn't coming to UW if Nowell was still here?
