Here is the difference. Maybe this will spell it out for you.

Oregon will play Carlberg or Baker with Faoliu and Scott at Nose Tackle. Jelks last year played the spot that Baker/Carlberg will take.

KT will not play one of those spots that Jelks did.

Here is another way of looking at it. Jelks played a 5 technique. KT will play a 9 technique. One requires more power than the other.

Also, DJ looks like imposing with a wide ass and arms down to his knees. You are being obnoxious.

It's the same fucking thing you idiot. Only difference is one is line up outside a tackle and one is line up outside a TE. Both go against tackles on a regular basis. Will KT's job be to contain the edge against the run the same as Jelks? Yes. Will he be going against 6'7 and 6'8 320 pound tackles the same as Jelks? Yes. Is he as big and developed as Jelks? No. Will he get manhandled against the run? Yes. It's that fucking simple. You stupid ass quooks think some 235-240 pound true Freshman is just gonna come in and dominate grown men and it's retarded. Wake the fuck up. Roster wise, Oregon is at best 3rd in the North. Herbert is the only reason for optimism. Without him Oregon would be retard fighting the Beavs for last place in the North next season.
Even though Herbert's performance deteriorated over the course of the season and Oregon won their games on the ground, I see your point.

There is a huge difference in what is needed skill wise. It's not even funny how block headed you're being. By your Doog logic everyone needs to be able to take on 6'8" 320 tackles. A 5 tech always occupies the tackle. A 9 tech just needs to contain and force the ball inside. KT's objective #1 when going against a tackle will be to rush the pass and bend the edge, which is an elite skill he possesses. KT will will play next to a 5 tech that will occupy the tackle.
That's 100% completely false and I am now dumber for reading it. Nobody can contain the edge if they're getting pancaked. KT will be matched up against tackles the majority of his snaps. How dumb can you fucking be? Sometimes he'll get blocked by a TE. Sometimes he'll get double teamed by a TE and a Tackle. Sometimes he'll get blocked by a Tackle. If he's going against physically mature veteran players in any of those scenarios he's gonna get manhandled against the run. If you're arguing he'll only play on 3rd and long as a pass rusher he'll still be escorted up field and thrown to the ground. He's not doing shit as a true Freshman. Wait and see for yourself bro.

I would draw you a picture but there are no crayons here. Carlberg and Faoliu will occupy the tackles. KT, DJ Johnson and Winston will drop in coverage, set the edge, and rush the passer while playing in space. All across CFB these players are 230-255 pounds. Your boy Potoa’e is no prototype.
Oregon sucks. Your roster sucks. Your defense will suck. And your offense will suck. You'll be lucky if you get to watch Oregon finish 3rd in the North. But that would take them ending their losing streak to the Cougs.
This is what it looks like when Ballz gets frustrated and goes full retard.

It ain't pretty. Just LIPO. He'll be done soon.

Oregon is a mediocre, middle-of-the-road Pac-12 team that finished 4th in the North division behind UW, Stanford, and WSU with a projected top-10 NFL draft pick at QB. Yep, that's Oregon. That's what they do. There's always next year though right?
Tell me moar. Let me know how undersized DJ Johnson is.
He's a weak, dough boy that will underachieve. His physique has not improved since he was in high school two years ago. Obviously not a hard worker. Obviously thinks he can get by on talent alone. Will get exposed.
    Now do Graham and Lenior.

Both are short with short arms. Neither has deep speed which is why they are susceptible to giving up big plays and often panic and hold guys versus deep routes. You want a first down against Oregon? Just throw a deep ball. If it's not completed you'll get a holding call from one of those two.
Lenoir is 5'11" and ran a 4.4 at the SPARQ combine. Short and slow are not adjectives I've seen anyone assign to him.

I honestly think your doog talent is so rare that we could swap out the entire Washington and Oregon rosters and you would not miss a beat.
Lol obviously he has no speed endurance. A lot of guys have run fast 40's and then that speed is nowhere to be found after a couple series on defense when those legs get heavy. He sucks. Gets beat deep all the time and is always holding guys. That's why WDWHA.
    oh, speed endurance. got it.

    Ok!

Lenior sucks but not because he’s slow.

    Graham is fucking awful.

Holland is really fucking good though.

Graham was inconsistent albeit improved that over the season. The contention here was that Oregon’s defense wouldn’t improve. We can sit here and analyze individual players and explain why they’re not great or where they’re flawed. The contention is not that the secondary is amazing. It won’t be until next year until that the staff can put the mismanagement of the roster by Helfrich behind them. However, this is the deepest Oregon will be of players that deserve to be on the field in a long time. I am saying PAC 12 quality players 2 or 3 deep at each spot.

Oregon lost Amadi, Jelks, Hollins and Apelu and noodlearmgardensnake said Oregon would dip with the loss of this group. That’s hardly a group of seniors that can’t be replaced. The next group of seniors will have a stronger cast around them.
This. I think Graham is a liability and does fit the short, not super fast and limited ability categorization. That's fair. He's quick and turns well but jump balls and guys with great straight line speed will hurt him. That said, he was much, much improved last season over the prior, during which time he was dreadful.

Lenoir doesn't suck and has the tools to get better.

They'll miss Amadi, who had a knack for making plays.

They'll miss Jelks and Hollins, of course. I think Hollins is going to be a good player in the NFL. He ran a legit 4.5 flat forty at the combine and has good range, long arms and just another kid who makes plays. Jelks will need to bulk up to play in the League but is a great athlete.

They'll miss Jelks and Hollins until they show that they won't. Of course, nobody here knows, especially haieballz.

Your coaching staff now has three recruiting classes under their belts. There's no excuses anymore. Go to the playoffs in Year 3 like Petersen did or STFU.
Yeah a cobbled together Taggart class and then picked up the prices from Taggart class. Last cycle was his first cycle. Even so the roster is in much better shape.

No excuses now. Senior QB who's a top-NFL prospect. Same coaching staff three years in a row. Same coaching staff that recruited the past three recruiting classes (Taggart leaving doesn't fucking matter, the same coaching staff stayed and hired from within). Way higher recruiting rankings than Petersen had his first three recruiting classes. Either make a playoff run or shut the fuck up.

Hey, it’s reasonable and coherent discussion. Based on people I trust and not the glass is always half full ones, Verone McKinley is the real deal. He put on some good weight, he’s physical against the run, covers well, smart and instructive. He will start in the nickel by these accounts. Everyone else around him is one year more seasoned. Likewise, Woods will give the spot some depth.
