Healthcare is probably the only political issue I care about. And I don't care that much

Getting healthcare completely not tied to employment is the goal.

I think a decent median step might be to have a basic health insurance that covers routine stuff and like breaking an arm or whatever then have a supplemental for serious things like cancer or aids.
