Maybe we should hire Oregon States coach to be our OC?GrundleStiltzkin said:
Seems to be doing pretty well with inferior talent -
Johnny and the Beavs are going to put up points on us. I’m not certain of a win.

How is the squwad looking this week? Fired up? I hope so!

We got that going for us, so that’s nice. -

We will probably hang 35+ on each team. At least one of those games will be a shoot out. We are normally good against shit defenses. We weren’t even terrible vs Oregon or Utah. Inconsistent but 28 points with 3 TO’s against Utah is pretty good and 31 against Oregon, but 0 in the 4th quarter.DoogCourics said:

Tryon, Levi... really the entire DL playing well the past couple of games.GrundleStiltzkin said:
first time in a long time actually generating a pass rush.
It was against Oregon State though... Maybe next year they will do it when it matters rather than wait for the season to be over before dominating shitty opponents -
we always knew the dline is going to need some to figure it out. This is not the issue. The issue is that we never expected that the ILB would be a liability to point where we had to play only one of themHouhusky said:

First game all year it was generated just rushing 4 and Lake finally stopped calling blitzes.Houhusky said:

Reminded me of a few years ago when Vita would collapse the pocket on his own and the back 7 could just feast. -
Ulofosio was very good vs the Beav, but I’m still unsure how Tryon didn’t win DPOW.

Tooooooo damned high

How is the squad looking this week? Crisp practices? Working harder than ever. Finish! Is the motto?
-
First half vs Utah they were really good too. The whole defense had a stretch from the middle 1st to end of 2nd quarter vs Oregon too. We still need a little more consistency.Houhusky said:

Fix your fucking chalkboard offenseGrundleStiltzkin said: -

I love that Pete hates the SEC and thinks of a lot of schools as nothing more than vultures.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
The problem with this is the emphasis of the chalkboard. If it’s close, sure, go with the guy that knows the offense better. When it’s Puka’s talent vs Baccallia’s, you have to make some concessions.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
I read Pete’s press conference and some of the quotes are a little misleading.
He talked about Osborne and said he’s going to be good. I think there is a fine line to overthinking things. Some guys overthink things and it slows them down because they haven’t mastered the offense. That’s slowing Osborne down. I doubt Puka really gives a shit and is going to ball no matter if he knows it well or not.
It kind of goes back to just keeping it relatively simple and letting guys be comfortable. I don’t think we do a good job with that because of all the emphasis on practice and chalk talk. Then you factor in guys not playing and it’s a lot easier to check out and not improve when they aren’t getting game reps.
It’s still inexcusable that Baccallia got so many snaps. It’s hurting the team now and it hurts the future of the team. Cutting those in half and letting other guys play would she been a good thing. -

Note:
Colorado gave up 30 points to every team they’ve faced until UW.
Arizona and Colorado were the two worst defenses in the conference in PPG Allowed, and only gave up 3 points combined to UW in the first halves.
That dipshit announcing team couldn’t get half the calls right, yet could tell that Colorado was run blitzing on every 1st and 2nd down because UW telegraphs all their tendencies, then Colorado would overload one side for blitzes on 3rd down and UW didn’t know how to handle any of it.
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!
