"I think I did pretty well and the coaches said I did everything they were looking for," Dudley said. "Coach (Junior) Adams said they don't offer a lot of kids, so they have a longer process, but they've pulled my transcripts and coach Petersen came out and saw me at my school (back in the winter), so I've been building a relationship with the staff there for a while now."
Dudley and his family also got the chance to attend the barbecue that was held to welcome the incoming freshmen as well as the top recruits who were there.
"The barbecue was great," Dudley noted. "All of the top recruits were there. I got to talk to the receiving coach and interact with all the coaches. They really made my family and I feel comfortable. We sat with Ayden Hector and his family. His dad and my dad were able to talk and he had great things to say about Washington."
Although Dudley walked away without and offer, he said he's planning to return to campus this fall to get the gameday experience.
