If Eason had come to UW originally, playing with Gaskin the 2018 season might have really been special
We’d be exactly on track with where Dabo had Clemson in his year 5; his first NY6 win, Tahj Boyd finally gets Dabo over the “Clemsoning” hurdle. Eason is way better than Boyd, with him playing on the 2018 team you can’t tell me we wouldn’t have won a NY6 bowl this year...Pete’s year 5.
Instead we’ve effectively been clemsoning for the past three years, but that’s how close we are to the pace Dabo had Clemson on! Highly encourage people to read this Twitter thread if you still don’t believe in the trajectory and track of the program.

2. Along the way, he emphasized a relentless attitude to both recruiting and development. Hired and maintained his top coordinators, having the highest coaching payrolls in college football. They improved their facilities, and leaned into marketing Clemson as a football brand.
None of this shit is that hard. Dabo in the postgame gave the script: to beat elite teams you need a vertical passing game - he noted Kelly Bryant’s inability to complete a pass greater than 12 yards against Bama. Eason changes that dynamic for us? immediately. Second, commit to the running game. Eason becomes more dangerous.
UW will never brand football and never has. When we won the natty they killed the program
Yep. People need to realize that the liberal elites at UW don't give a shit about football. Same for the conference. Yeah, take this shit to the tug, but politics are involved here.

Yup, we can’t and we won’t are two different things.

And he signed a bunch of badass athletic fast black guys and a QB with a cannon.

Key word is might. I’m scared Eason plays somewhat decent, has a few big games, we are still stuck in 10-3 purgatory and he bounces to the NFL after one year.
He didn’t light it up as a true freshman and wasn’t anywhere close to Trevor Lawrence.
Jake Locker, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, and many more have proven you don’t have to actually be dominant in college to be a highly sought after NFL QB.
