Do you have any ideas on how wet water is?greenblood said:DerekJohnson said:
a guy that gets hired at one place but defiantly continues to interview for other jobs is going to be too headstrong to allow others to choose his DC without meddling and self-sabotaginggreenblood said:
Kliff has had amazing success offensively, but it has been defense that had held him back. As head coach that is his problem, but NFL teams think that they can fix that part of it. The front offices I assume think if they can make the right hire at DC, Kliff could be very successful in the NFL.DerekJohnson said:Why would NFL teams entertain the idea of hiring a guy who was mediocre as a college head coach?
I really don't think Kliff knew he would be in such high demand from the NFL before he took the USC job. If he had known, I think he would have waited. -
I was replying to Derek's post about how a newly hired coach would still listen to offers. Not meant as a blanket statement to the board.BennyBeaver said:

The path to the top of the NFL is shorter than ever especially with the “let’s find a brilliant young mind” philosophy now.HillsboroDuck said:
He’s probably be a great NFL OC but hiring him as HC seems incredibly stupidDerekJohnson said:Why would NFL teams entertain the idea of hiring a guy who was mediocre as a college head coach?
Matt LaFleur just went from getting fired as QB coach after RG3/Shanahan failed in DC and becoming Notre Dame’s QB coach 5 years ago to being the head coach of Aaron fucking Rodgers.
Kkkliff is high risk but I’d rather than risk than some boring recycled NFL coach. -
True...Marvin Lewis and Jeff Fisher are tanned rested and readywhlinder said:

Because the NFL is a weak ass copy cat league and they think Kliff is the next Sean McVay.DerekJohnson said:Why would NFL teams entertain the idea of hiring a guy who was mediocre as a college head coach?
