You're playing your rival and its 3rd and goal at the 2 yard line. You have the best running back in the nation and he's averaging 7 yards a carry. What do you do?

Fake the fullback up the middle, QB roll-out, pitch to the half-back from the Wishbone, Triple Option set.

I like Jerry Pettibone and choice.

Too easy to run the ball.

    No creativity.

Just tell the linemen they're shitty and be done with it.

Or if your up by 3 with 5 minutes left and need just a couple first downs for the win,and you have the best running back in a school history who just ran for 20 yards, I think a slow developing pass in the flat that could just as easily result in a pick 6 as a gain is always the best call.

The true situation called for a QB bootleg run backwards that even my peg-leg grandpa(rip) could have fooled the coogs enough to score on unmolested. You're thinking it was the regular season final and a hard fought rivalry game crucial for the home team in black ninja suits achieving that elusive eighth win. But in truth, it was only another apple cup we were suppose to win and did win in typically unmotivated sloppy style while the motherless sodbusters received most of the credit for making the scoreboard close against huge odds. In such a can't-win situation, it's best to find a way for the crippled senior to score the winning TD on senior day...... or get buried under a pile of steaming horse apples in failed disgrace for trying. If the best RB in the nation craves such glory, let him come back for a senior season to get it.
