It’s not bad, but We should still be averaging more than 4.9 ypc against the competition we’ve played. Also, the receiver play will keep this team from being a conference contender. However, Oregon might still be the third or fourth best team in the league.
This conference, especially the south, is fucking garbage.
We? had a worse rushing performance against them than an FCS team and fucking wazzu.
We? had 212 yards rushing against bowling green while Maryland had 440 and Eastern Kentucky had 380.
We? allowed plays of 31, 33, 38 and 52 to a team that got shut out by the cuogs the week before.
Fuck this bullshit excuse making.
The analysis is our? WRs and RBs are the worst at Oregon in 30 years.
The analysis is that our? corners are pieces of shit and/or coached by a piece of shit.
The analysis is that the offensive staff has fucked the running game into the dirt with something like 100 returning OL starts and at least two dudes who will be playing on Sundays.
The analysis is this is the same staff that got raped by a donkey in front of dozens of people in Las Vegas last December.
Oh, and we have no place kicker and gave up a 94 yard kickoff return. But hey we? are 4th in the conference in net punting baby!

TBJ, Taj, and Felix are why the running game sucks. Down hill runners and zone runners are two different animals. Verdell and Dye are the best two backs on the roster for the new style of play. Felix has a chance as he is a very patient runner.
The one silver lining about the WR's is they are getting open this year. They are dropping way too many passes, but last season they couldn't get open consistently against air.
Stack will be back on Saturday and what the scout team kickoff does is pretty meaningless.
The only thing I have seen in these three games that truly worries me is Thomas Graham is slow, painfully slow and can't cover a skinny post against anyone when we are in zero, which is basically all non 3rd & long situations.

Why does Verdell have 28 carries for 93 yards against non FCS competition? Why did we? not have a single carry of more than 9 yards vs SJSU? It's not talent on the OL, it's coaching.

Hi Petersen!
It's literally the same offense Bama runs. It's just their third offense in three years.
I'm guessing most of you didn't read the article. That's okay, nothing wrong with wanting to say shit about nothing you know about. But if you did read it and didn't get the fucking message, here it is:
OREGON IS USING A MORE CONSERVATIVE RUNNING GAME APPROACH, YOU DUMBFUCKS. THE GOAL IS TO GET 4 YARDS PER CARRY INSTEAD OF HIGHER RISK/HIGHER REWARD SHOTGUN RUNS WHERE YOU RISK INJURING THE QB OR WINDING UP WITH A 2nd and 14.
It doesn't explain why the RBs suck against inferior competition, that's because they simply suck, but this explains the new offense. Will it be good? Who the fuck knows.

Because he isn't getting enough carries at the right times and that's because of the platooning. CJ is a freshman and is a banger. Those guys get better as the game goes on but you have to put money in the bank with them. Having TBJ run between the tackles isn't getting you much of a return late. CJ's numbers in the second half will almost always be better than the first. Look at Scarborough against UW. He wasn't all that effective in the first half, but made their defense quit in the second half.
You can bitch about the platooning strategy all you want and I get it, but sitting at 3-0 with everyone on your roster getting max reps with only one guy injured on just a freak occurrence is the best situation you can be in heading into the Stanford game. That speaks to the new S&C program and handicapping your horse so it isn't dead going into the last turn/November.
I honestly don't even really care what happens on Saturday. Of course a win would be great, but the recruiting, the lifting, and the style of play is being put in play where the Ducks can be good for a very long time. I've seen zero decisions made that would lead me to believe Mario isn't a very good game manager either.

We said the same fucking bullshit this time last year.
Oh, and you didn't see Mario attempt a 40 yard FG with a dude who can barely make PATs? That was FS.
And how about the fact that Braxton Burmeister has 8 pass attempts and Shough has 0. That makes a lot of sense.
Can't wait for this SEC line to run the Bama offense. Especially with a team that squats more than anyone in the country and had 2 guys squat for 600 pounds!
