3,000 people didn't die

They didn't die "in" the Hurricane. In some cases they died months later. If someone falls off the roof of their house 3 months after the hurricane hit did that person die "in" the hurricane?

Hondo - where is Trump wrong in these tweets?
At 16 deaths, the official casualty toll is both subject to revision and astonishingly low. It testifies to efforts of island officials who placed their faith in minute-by-minute forecasts, rather than the prayers that some local preachers had urged to keep up the island’s previous extraordinary record of near-misses. Maria stayed the course. Officially 2 m.p.h. shy of Category 5 at landfall on the south-eastern shore, she raked the entire island. There was no intact corner from which to stage a recovery effort.

Time Magazine is not Fox News and this is basically a hit piece but it shows that the original death toll was 16 to 20 people
This article says Trump did give 1 million of his own money and got the Feds involved
At least hondo is not trying to politicize the dead. -
They are fucking ghouls. It's the some kind of dishonest accounting that allows them claim something like this is a "school shooting."RaceBannon said:Hondo - where is Trump wrong in these tweets?

A longtime College of Southern Nevada sociology professor is facing felony gun charges in connection with an on-campus shooting on the second day of classes.
Mark J. Bird was charged last month with discharging a gun within a prohibited structure, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possessing a dangerous weapon on school property, court records show. He was found bleeding from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his arm about 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 28 outside a bathroom in the Charleston campus K building.
Inside the bathroom, campus police found a $100 bill taped to a mirror along with a note that said, "For the janitor," according to Bird’s arrest report. On the floor of the restroom was a black-and-white, .22-caliber pistol and one spent shell casing.
...
While waiting for authorities to arrive, Bird said he had shot himself in protest of President Donald Trump, police noted in their report. The report did not elaborate.

Are you really that dense? Yes, they didn't literally die in the hurricane but they died as a result of the aftermath due to the lack of water, electricity, and the slow relief efforts. The study compared the average number of deaths in PR in a normal year as a proxy and used that to estimate the impact from the hurricane.SFGbob said:They didn't die "in" the Hurricane. If someone got shot in a mass shooting but died a week later in the hospital, would they not count against the body count of that shooting?
No one blamed Trump directly for the 3000 deaths but the man just can't accept any slight or shred of criticism. It's ironic you Trump supporters like to label the left as snowflakes but your idol is the biggest snowflake of them all. -
If a stop light is out 3 months after the hurricane hits and there is a car wreck that kills someone at that intersection did that person die in the hurricane?insinceredawg said:

Are you're lying about people not blaming Trump. Your comparison to people who are shot in a mass shooting and then die a week later is also dishonest. They've counted people who have died in accidents weeks and months after the hurricane not just people who were injured in the hurricane and then died weeks later.
Trump is responsible for Puerto Rico

Btw, this number is 3,000 number is based almost entirely on estimates and not on actual death certificates. If someone got drunk and crashed their car and died after the hurricane that death could be counted as a hurricane related death.

I didn't think it was possible to have a more blind, delusional Trump supporter than Race but Bob has taken it to the next level. Congrats.SFGbob said:Btw, this number is 3,000 number is based almost entirely on estimates and not on actual death certificates. Here's the thing. So 3,000 people died. At this point, why does it matter?

If anyone died later from lack of water and supplies in the aftermath, it was due to the corruption and incompetence of the PR government.

The governor of PR likes to use Trump as a scapegoat for her own incompentence.
