The economy under Obama experienced the slowest recovery from recession since the great depression. As the article points out Q4 2015 and Q1 2016 saw growth rates of 0.90% and 0.80%. Pathetic. Obama regulations strangled the economy. Trump is elected, he proceeds to deregulate and cut taxes, and now, last quarter's growth rate was 4.2%. That's all Trump and Republicans in both chambers of congress. #resistlmfao
It’s almost like the recession was the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression...
The recession was over long before we were told the "new normal" was 1% to 2% growth. Obama regulated the economy to a halt. In a sense Obama did set up Trump quite nicely. All Trump had to do to unleash the economy is the opposite of his predecessor.
When in your mind did the recession end?
According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, it lasted approximately 18 months, ending in October of 2009. It lasted just two months longer than the recession under Reagan, prior to the exploding economy he delivered. The post recession economic performance under Obama was astonishingly worse, in fact the worst in nearly 80 years.
So it only took 2 months to end a significantly worse economic disaster. Got it.

Another question...why do you care? In what way are you personally benefiting from a report like this that you were not before? I’m not talking shit I’m genuinely curious to hear your thoughts.

Let's ignore how the rest of the world was doing in their recovery. The US outpaced basically all its peers in GDP growth during Obama's term. Compare that to Reagan's recession where Europe didn't even dip below 0.

I'm not arguing that Obama ruined the economy or damaged the recovery significantly. He was actually rather ambivalent and told by his Wall Street and Chicago donors to keep his fucking hands off the banks and let them do their thing, which he did and they did.

My beefs with Obama, besides dancing like a fag on Ellen, were his embracing of the SJW movement, his terrible AGs at the Justice Department, his horrendous handling of the "Arab Spring," his blame America first and always naive Cairo "speech" written and vetted for him by the Muslim Brotherhood, and turning over healthcare reform in Congress to the lifeless, inept, drooling Harry Fucking Reid. Although I still like the guy personally, I believe he was mediocre politician and a pretty worthless, feel-good President, who basically kept the chair warm most of the time, especially in his second term.

I like people like you and turd. Reagan created the economy of the 90s. Clinton is to blame for the great recession. And Trump gets the credit for a good economy now. Not even 2 years into his term.

Is unemployment an economic performance indicator? Why don't you compare unemployment under Obama to Reagan. You might be surprised.

Not to mention that a recession started under Reagan. The last recession to start under a Democrat president was under Carter.

I was responding to the link to the article describing the media's attempt to rewrite history to somehow explain how the Trump economic boom is due to Obama. Ridiculous, but an understandable move. Beating Trump is definitely harder when people are more self reliant and feeling better about their situations. The fact of the matter is that Obama's economy was horrible and stayed that way well past "recovery" from the recession. He could have had the same success in this area, but he's not wired that way. He's the face of the modern democrat party, a party driven by SJW causes and identity politics, and more vested in culturing dependence as a means to obtain and retain power and control.

I'm not as critical of Obama's economy as some, but @Southerndawg is right about the social justice (aka "race & gender") obsession of his administration, and it's choosing to focus on placing blame for historical grievances instead of inspiring people to unite and work together. I'm an Obama 2x voter, and yet I strongly believe his administration fanned the flames of racial, political and economic divisions we see today by attempting to settle scores for shit done a long time ago. And his critics are correct to cite his Socialist & Marxist leanings, because that shit is straight out of the Marxist playbook.
