Everyone is smart except Trump

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of how Forensic Technology investigations work that has been completely misconstrued by some on the right. You don’t need the physical servers to examine them. They did receive the imaging and data on the servers which is a perfectly fine substitute for the physical thing.Sledog said:
Did you know the FBI never examined the DNC servers? Seems odd doesn't it but the DNC wouldn't allow it. Even odder! But hey they had nothing to hide.2001400ex said:Was Trump smart when he said he didn't believe Russia was hacking America. Or was he smart when he said Russia was hacking America?

Genuinely curious: What do the ForBros think about this one report? https://www.thenation.com/article/a-new-report-raises-big-questions-about-last-years-dnc-hack/Edwin_Bambino said:

There was dissent within this VIPS group on the findings. -
I’m not super technology literate myself, I’ll have to ask one of my buddies.GrundleStiltzkin said:

Defending Trump is fine, I guess, but if we're gonna defend Russia I'm fucking out!Sledog said:

And for what it's worth, even the House Intelligence Committee's report concluded that the intelligence community's assessment was correct: Russia hacked DNC servers and passed the stolen emails to WikiLeaks.Edwin_Bambino said:

Look at pages 22-31 of the report (PDF). The publicly available copy is heavily redacted because of the classified info that it supposedly contains, but the report's conclusions are still there for anyone to see.
I guess anybody could still claim that the DNC fabricated the Russian-hacking story and point to the DNC's handling of its servers as evidence of that claim. But you'd have to argue that both the intelligence community and House Republicans got it wrong. And you'd have to argue @Edwin_Bambino doesn't know what he's talking about. Pass. -
I never know what I’m talking about. But unfortunately on this stupid subject I do.Squirt said:
