    Capitalism is the best economic system humans have come up but it’s not perfect. And when and where it fails us we need to be willing to look at alternatives. Healthcare is the best example of this. We have the 37th ranked healthcare system and we are the worlds lone super power. Capitalism fails us here.

    The countries with the best healthcare all have universal healthcare. It’s not about socialism, I want the system that’s the best. So if you can come up with a way to get America to number 1, where we should be striving to be on everything, that keeps the healthcare system in the capitalist system, I’m all ears.     We're the only nation in history based on a creed, as opposed to one tribe. And relatively speaking, we've been relatively successful and melting all these different tribes together into one successful nation. We've got Germans marrying Polacks, Carribean Messicans marrying Polacks, and so on and so forth. BUT everyone's gotta learn to speak the Engrish. It's the best for national unity and social cohesion. It's also the lingau franca because the Engrish speakers won the wars.

    They did for about a 100 years. But they were lucky and got here? first. After that they got lazy and their whole economy was based on the extraction of gold and silver from the New World. The Engrish model based on being a maritime trading power proved to be far more successful in the long run. This is why we speak Engrish today and not Messican.

    When people axe my about my political beliefs, I often say I'm FREE MARKET SOCIALIST.

    Socialismo myths. The US doesn't have a free market healthcare system. We've been moving away from that for 30+ years and spending has gone up while health outcomes have gone down because of ever more government involvement in an attempt to "fix" the free market.

    Government interventionism creates market imbalances and poor outcomes which it then uses to justify further interventionism. Socialist playbook 101.



    Want to see what "American" single payer looks like? Look no further than Dialysis which ironically the GOP signed into law as single payer. It's a fucking disaster that is only getting worse.

    Or what about "Universal care"...The VA would be your example of that. They can't get good outcomes for a population of people who are considered a sacred cows where no expense is too much.
