PG staying with OKC is actually really bad for the Spurs. It essentially limits the bargaining power that the Spurs have with the Lakers because LBJ + another max requires the Lakers to have to play some ball to fit Kawhi in sooner than later to make it all work within the cap. Now, they can add LBJ this year and then sit back and lowball the Spurs knowing that Kawhi (or somebody else) comes into the equation next offseason.

Some early free agent thoughts:
CP3's 4/160M deal is going to look terrible in Years 3 and 4
Ariza leaving Houston for Phoenix on a 1/15M is a big hit for Houston … it will be interesting to see how they replace him as they aren't a deep team to start with
Baynes back to Boston on a 2/11M deal is a solid deal for both sides
-
Biggest WTF move so far. Houston just lost their best Durant defender -
I'm sorry but even all of the Blazer hating fags here have to agree that PG going with OKC instead of Blazers/Lakes is incredibly retarded. Seriously, playing with Mello and Westbrook instead of Dame/CJ or Lebron....LOL

Thunder staring down the barrel of a $180 million tax bill. Can get it down to $80 million by stretching Carmelo. This is the team that dumped Harden to stay out of the tax.

Paul George to stay irrelevant as he should
Magic didn't want him and neither did I -
Is this some sort of flatbed truck joke?RaceBannon said:Paul George to stay irrelevant as he should

I’m shaking and about to vomit -
Oooooooh the NBA it never stops. I’m hearing Kawhi is now saying he’d consider resigning with Philadelphia. Philly, like LA, could add Kawhi and Lebron.
-
How long before GM LeBron cuts Lonzo?
-
I never got the idea of George to LA, joining LeBron and Kawhi. I'd take a chance on Boogie over George.
-
Paul George was a GOOD signing by OKC. I think OKC can push it to 7 games next year in the first round against Utah.
-
Lebron has signed with the Lakers. 4 years $154m.
-
LAbron baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lakers fanbase is lit
another fanbase ridiculously excited: toronto doesn't have to face lebron in the east anymore -
Congrats to Race Bannon. Been a tuff five years for long suffering Laker fans.
-
pls make this interesting and get boogie + leonard
although the idea of lebron and ball show makes me lol -
Magic Johnson is now the third best Laker ever.
-

Now LeBron has his Lakers version of JR Smith -
Celtics are going to run the east for quite a while.
-
I’m hearing Lebron and Kawhi had a conversation about playing together in LA. If that happens the season is over.

KCP re-signing w/ lakers, which will probably take them out of boogie pursuit because $$
unless they renounce randle or something
right?
ugh I hope not unless it's to match money for a trade.
Randle is also seemingly not happy with the Lakers which I don't blame him. He may not stay at all either. -

Well if they’re signing Boogie they won’t be resigning Randle, they play the same position. I think they’d be better of with Randle. I don’t think Boogie can stay on the court vs Golden State.Gladstone said:KCP re-signing w/ lakers, which will probably take them out of boogie pursuit because $$
