I believe he had a pick in the season opener his freshman year against Boise that sealed the game. That's the memory of him I will choose to have.
He had a pick six against UCLA, albeit vs. Breihaut, to seal that game and give us a shot at a bowl game with a win over the CUOG the next week. I have "selective memory" due to trauma any point in time before that.
