Smalls and JT Tui are the only two deserving of an offer at this time and UW was the first to offer both of them. What the fuck is so hard to understand about that? You don't think there are 2020 and 2021 4-star kids in California that USC hasn't offered yet? Tracy needs to calm his ass down. Not every single one of his kids is UW caliber as a fucking Sophomore! At least wait until the Spring evaluation period after their Junior season to bitch. Outside of Smalls and JT Tui none of the other 2020 and 2021 in-state kids have COMMITTABLE offers from the USC's and Alabama's of the world. Sure they can probably commit to Oregon because Oregon fucking sucks. When the in-state kids get their UW offer it will be a REAL offer that they can commit to at any time.

What are you not understanding? These kids don't even have enough interest to come to our camp. Whether or not you agree with petes strategy that in itself alone is a huge fucking problem. It needs to be solved. You can't alienate local talent like that. The shitty part of being a college coach is ass kissing and political shit you have to deal with with these 7 on 7 guys and the prep athletes themselves. It's a problem and it needs to be solved. I think it will be. But letting it linger is frustrating to put it lightly.
What are you talking about? All the Eastside Catholic kids have been up to UW to watch Spring practices and for camp. Smalls has been on campus a bunch of times. Sure JT Tui and Smalls didn't go to the Dirt Dawg camp. Big fucking deal. They already have offers and it's nothing new to them. Those guys have a LONG ways to go in their recruitment. You don't want them on campus a million times because then UW becomes stale and out-of-state schools become new, fresh, and exciting.
Yeah. Uw coaches are purposefully limiting the amount of times they come around campus. We are all dumber now for having digested that thought.
Didn't know you could get any dumber than you already were. Yes, UW doesn't want 5-star in-state players constantly at UW when they are 15 and 16 years old. That would be stupid. It's simple psychology that UW would become too familiar to them and therefore less exciting than out-of-state schools that they rarely visit.
I would rather have them commit as 15/16 year olds if they are that good.

Yep, cause having guys like Sirmon and Kalepo on campus every other weekend during their recruitment has been so detrimental.

So would I! But unfortunately very few that age are ready to make a decision. And even if they do make a decision that young verbal commitments mean nothing. It's about who they sign with. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

After they already committed to help recruit other recruits. Completely different circumstances.

T Ford is still firmly in UWs camp. His only concern is why UW hasn’t offered Gee Scott. Dad isn’t an issue I’m told and keeps his mouth shut during 7 v 7.

No surprise, Joey T is still bitter he couldn’t make it @ UW. The coaches disrespected Harrison when they didn’t text and slobber over him twice daily. Thomas found it outrageous UW schil Brandon Huffman only rated Smalls #3 nationally, #1 on the west coast, but still.

    Amazing
Doogs gonna invent news way to doog
I'm the opposite of a Doog. I agree with the coaches having very high recruiting standards for themselves going into future classes and not offering and taking in-state kids just because they have 4-stars next to their name. I want the best guys possible. If UW was recruiting Darien Chase as a WR nobody here would want them to give up early on getting Joe Ngata and take Chase instead. Everybody would be pissed and calling the coaches pussies for not going after the best. It's the same fucking thing with the 2020 and 2021 classes.

Joey's animosity should be towards Neu, not UW.

He’s a bit player in a big boys game. TFord controls the big time kids. Gee Scott got to square off against Sherm. Local running backs got to workout with Gaskin and Eric Dickerson. Joey Thomas didn’t do shit and coaches Garfield. If Ford gets Smalls into his workout program, UW has a shot. If he doesn’t, he gone. I’m hearing Kavrio Middleton starter kit. WDWHA

He see’s this as an opportunity to add a new selling point... “can’t count on UW to offer you a scholarship, join my program and I’ll help you get national exposure and national offers.”

In this fall, this is very tough, in this fall I'm going to take my talents to South Beach and join the Miami Heat.
