    Lugano is sunnier and more spectacular than Como, IMO. I would cancel Tuscany and hit Umbria. Similar hill towns, fewer tourists, less attitude (Florentines are total fucking snobs).
    We'll be there in November, so I'm not that worried about tourist crowds. Florence will likely be a day trip from either Siena or Lucca; after Rome, we want a small town vibe for our lodging.
