I'm so gay for them that I drove down for both of the past two Portland shows after seeing them in Seattle the night before. Actually drove right past Matt Bellamy and Dom Howard walking in downtown Portland prior to one of them and screamed like a pre-teen girl.salemcoog said:

The first one I saw, the Silversun Pickups opened. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the lead singer was a Man... Baby!!! I'd never seen a video of them and only some promo stuff where they featured the bass player whose a decent looking blonde.BleachedAnusDawg said:

Also think Muse belongs on this list. Saw them open for U2 at UVA's Scott Stadium in Charlottesville ~8 years ago. Great show.

Love em or hate em, Green Day deserved a seed in the tourney. 65M albums sold, 5 Grammys, and in the HOF.
Ozzy should have also been in, probably in the late 70s to mid 80s group. Blizzard of Ozz & Diary of a Madman influenced a shit ton of metal bands. My Mt. Rushmore of metal is Ozzy, Lemmy, split face of Hetfield/Hammett, and Kerry King. -
I probably fucked over Green Day and the 90s to present was the hardest for me to stay objective.
