I'm not sure what position he will end up playing at the next level. What jumps out the most to me is how quick his first step is off the line. His length won't allow him to play BUCK, even though it looks like that is where he currently excels at the most. I think he could get away with playing Mike. How much he grows in the next year or two will determine where he plays. Right now, I project him as an undersized Mike or running back. Nonetheless, he's already filled-out, very athletic, and a solid tackler.
I don't think he's a defensive guy. We're already well on our way to Pete's dream of an all-Aryan running back room, so we'll probably offer this guy in December next year as long as USC offers him first.
He looks like he has the ability to cover a ton of ground, considering how fast he is. FS could be another position, but it's likely he stays at running back. Mt. Si is going to lean on him a lot more with Millen gone.
This is kind of old news, but I don't know if many of you had come across this. I hope the second attempt works out for him. Here's the small sample of highlights on his Hudl from this past season:
I've heard from people I trust that he is going to be really good. His release is kind of funky with a low-elbow (and his brother's is like that, too). I like him though.
I just happen to think that Sam Huard's freshman film is from a different planet. Still, this kid could really develop.
Simon's 7v7 team, FSP 5-Star, is full of a number of 2021 prospects that have offers including Sam Huard, Jabez Tinae and J.T. Tuimoloau. Simon, Huard and Tuimoloau were all MaxPreps Freshman All-American's.
They've traveled together and have talked about the potential of playing together in college.
"It would be interesting for sure," said Simon. "We'll all have to make decisions but we've definitely talked about that idea."
Is he a TE or WR? To me he looks like a WR. He's not the fastest, but he has good body control and great hands. Here are his stats and Hudl from this past season. Very consistent all year. You'll have to watch the entire tape because he doesn't just put all of the better highlights in the beginning.

I watched it again. You're right. I think the only comparisons I can make with tall slowish receivers out of HS would be Kelvin Benjamin and Mike Williams (USC). They were about the same size, but I don't think this guy can run a 4.6 like them.

Concerned about this frame, might not be big enough to play WTE

I'm waiting for Bush to develop an all-isis wr factory...
He has offers from Cal and Virginia now. They're recruiting him as a BUCK.
