There are always parades for you buddy.

I know you do, but I'm sick and fucking tired of sitting behind you on 520 breathing the exhaust from your 1982 Toyota Corolla. I want to breathe Porsche exhaust doing 70.

Nothing worse that being in the fast track lanes stuck in traffic and realizing you paid to go the same speed as the shit head in the regular lanes.

More often than not though, they are worth it.

Raising gas taxes to pay for infastructure, don't even think about it. There's not an easier way to go door ass out after 1 term than higher gas and oil prices.

Frankly we should privatize all roads. You use it, you pay for it. I fucking LOVE 520 toll and 405 'special use' lanes. Pay to use.

Got way fucking Tired of sitting in fucking traffic with poor free loaders. I pay now and cruise right on by now baby. Should be that way every fucking place.

I don't want to fucking subsidize roads for people like Salemkewg. Fuck that. Liberty and free markets bitches. Nothing else.
Christ. Toll roads and bridges are fine here and there, but have it little gratitude will ya. It was BIG GUVMINT that built the infrastructure that made this country the most prosperous in human history. Private enterprise could never have achieved this because the risk was to great or not enough ROI in the short term.
LIES!!!!!!! Go row your boat Lenin. See if Karl wants to race.

Nobody needs your drivel here. Move along now.

On the other hand a private company built a new exchange at JBMFL or whatever in record time under budget

I agree the interstates wouldn't exist without Ike and the gubmint. But to fix them we could be creative.

You aren't going to fix many roads or expand them at a billion dollars a mile. It has to be more efficient

All that means is that we need to pull harder on the "raise the price" lever. That's the beauty of the market. I would pay enuff to drive fast. Need to jack it up so that the riff raff gets out the fucking way on price.

Allocate resources in accordance with their highest value use. In this case, allocate the lane to Creep, and move Snow and SalemKewg over and out of his way until they figure out how to make more money.

Private enterprise (w/o major Gubmint backing) would have never got the following dun:

    - Transcontinental Railroads
    - All the god damned dams
    - Interstate Hwy System
    - Panama Canal
    - Electricity in Rural 'Merica (even in 1940 most of rural America had no juice; private enterprise wasn't going to get it done because there wasn't enough profit to me made)
    - The internets (i.e., Cold War DOD spending)
    - Splitting atoms into electricity

The list goes on and on. Some shit's just to big for private enterprise.

    PS: fuck rural 'Merica.

PSS: nothing is too big for private enterprise. we used to think you needed the gubmint to venture out into space. "It's just TOO BIG!" Until we didn't.

    - Transcontinental Railroads (allowed moving hookers from east coast to west coast quickly)
    - All the god damned dams (saved hookers from drowning in floods)
    - Interstate Hwy System (made it easier to drive to hookers in major cities)
    - Panama Canal (opened South American up to trade and allowed for cocaine)
    - Electricity in Rural 'Merica (even in 1940 most of rural America had no juice; private enterprise wasn't going to get it done because there wasn't enough profit to me made) (you can now fuck a hooker with the lights on, and keep beer chilled)
    - The internets (i.e., Cold War DOD spending) (porn on demand)
    - Splitting atoms into electricity (nukes are cool)

The list goes on and on. Some shit's just to big for private enterprise.

Sometime I'll have you over for a fireside chat at my shitty little N. Seattle house and regale you with stories of how Socialism saved Capitalism. I'll apologize in advance for all the potholes the gubmint hasn't been able to fix in 40 years.

That was when America was great

Killing enemies and building roads are what the gubmint should be doing. Effectively.

It's not that private enterprises can't, it's that they won't.

Laying new taxes on gas is retarded. It causes the price of everything to go up because it causes the price of transportation and shipping to go up. If Trump wants to negate the effect of tax reform and look like a jackass, this is the way to do it.

It would only negate the tax cut for the middle class. I'm glad you finally came to the realization that only Trump and his buddies are getting a tax cut.

The fed gas tax is very reasonable and hasn't been raised since the 90's. Its like 25 cents.

The issue is that the states have taken up all the margin with high state gas taxes and they spend it on bike lanes and trains to Fresno.

I can tell you for a fact that the price of gas was HUGE when I was poor a couple years ago. It took careful planning to have enough gas to get to work and back. I actually had to give up booze, weed, and cigars for about 6 months.

We need the infrastructure repaired. The issue as always is the lack of accountability by the government with our money.

Its not like they haven't been collecting billions all these years while the roads rot.

Let us not forget the privilege tax in Oregon when buying a vehicle 3 years old or newer.

Gas taxes should be abolished. Getting rid of that fucking stupid tax is not only an immediate tax cut for everyone, its a tax cut in the form of lower prices on everything you buy. The other benefit is the immediate weakening of the power of out of control state and federal government bureaucracy.
