This game is smart if you are truly trying to get to the CFP as the win will go a long way but a loss is the first game of the Season and can be atoned for by the time the committee throws their darts at the board for CFP selection.

This game is stupid if you're projected to finish 8-4 or 7-5. You won't really do yourself any favors, only the Conference Champion.
