Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Watching the Fiesta Bowel last night finally had me realize why I hate ESPN so much. I give credit to Greg McElroy and the other announcers because they actually did a decent job and because they were decent, I could properly focus on my hatred.
So during the segment when ESPN focused on the autistic brother of PSU's WR, they kept showing the brother eating popcorn (FREE PUB to WSU Popcorn guy) or the player on the bench while talking about what an inspirational story the guy is fucking blah blah blah. After showing these 2 guys for way too long, ESPN cameras finally go back to showing the field. Most of the time, the team is already at the line of scrimmage and about to snap the ball.
During the fluffer story time, I'm missing the huddle, substitutions and alignment. I'm watching the game because I want to watch the fucking game and not an autistic guy eating popcorn. If I want to see that, I'll look for it on YouTube.
I don't give a shit about the fluff story either but I get it, it's how ESPN shows how they care about people fucking blah blah blah. Go ahead, tell the fucking story but put the fucking cameras back on the field. After a 3 second shot, I know what the autistic brother looks like eating popcorn. I can also imagine what he looks like not eating popcorn so you don't need to show me that either.
Fuck.

Ever watched an NFL game? I swear it's 70% commercials, and 25% close-ups of the QB's face. The broadcast angle always sucks. They're trying to appeal to the masses with easily digestible bullshit, which is why they're losing real fans.
I would rather watch the All-22 angle throughout the entire game with no commentary, but we're stuck with the game being interrupted by fluff pieces, commercials, Brady Quinn talking about Notre Dame and the SEC, and tons of close-up shots of Browning's vacant, remorseless cuntface.
That is as close as ESPN came this year to noting that UW exists.

They need all the viewers they can get and you would enjoy their coverage more.
Made that switch last year. Between FS1 and Root they have all the former hosts worth a shit and actually discuss sports.
Continue on with the SJW’s and Oberfag, if that’s your thing - not hatin.
