I never got it. It's 40 mins from campus down to the row boat facility and not much glory in it either from a club team perspective.

The first time I went over to Pullman for the Apple Cup of Row Boat, I had a six pack the night before and chewed 1/4 of a tin of Minty Bear (i.e., Kodiak). The race was still over in about 10 seconds.
