Guns ain't that hard to make. Look up the Khyber Pass gun makers. Funthat the purple wanting drugs legal because you can't stop them want guns illegal because laws work....

What he did was not legal.

I agree that all of the laws this shooter broke should remain in effect.

You can make you're own bombs too (just what I'm hearing @NSA_Dawg) so they should be legal? I need bombs to protect my family. Only way to stop a bad guy with a bomb is a good guy with an even bigger bomb.

This is how I feel reading this poast

The point is that if the law isn't going to deter anyone who is planning on killing people from obtaining weapons, then we are only preventing good, law-abiding citizens from obtaining them.

But people do still obtain weapons and kill other people with them. They might replace guns with knives, but people still kill other people.

Sure. The same day as Sandy Hook some lunatic attacked a primary school in China with a kniife. Stabbed 23 people, mostly elementary school kids. Zero fatalities.

    Compare/contrast.

And I could point out shootings where people were shot and didn't die, and stabbings where people were stabbed and did die.

You might be being obtuse if you can't recognize that a gun is many, many times more deadly than a knife.

Guns and knives are different. They kill people in different ways. The objects themselves are shaped and weigh differently. One is much louder. One is less expensive. And remember, a knife is just one weapon a person could replace a gun with.

Nobody with a knife has ever killed 58 people from a hotel room 100 yards away.

You've heard about assholes that bring knives to a gun fight, right?

Awesome. Bring your knife to a gun fight, and tell us how it works out.

Somehow this turned into a discussion about whether or not knives are a good self-defense weapon against guns...?
