After Stan Empterman moved on, DeMarco Farr and Steve Hoffman stepped in. Both were good-better than good-players but the defense wasn’t the same. QB’s come and go, so do RB’s, and yes even elite DB’s.

War Daddies. Elite War Daddies are rare and should be cherished.

I’ve seen Ron Holmes. Reggie Rodgers. Empterman, Tank, and the rest of the star UW lineman. There’s never been a pair like Vita and Gainesey. Relentless. Destructive. Fast for their size. These guys are special. They bring it every down. That’s what makes them great. Shelton had the ability but didn’t maximize his potential. Vita and Gainsey are a once in a generational pair....

There are few games left to enjoy these guys. You younger guys won’t fully appreciate them until they’re gone.

Also Bob Rondeau...

Keith Jackson. Verne Lundquist. Brent Musburger. Kurt Gowdy. Vin Scully. Lou Gellerman. These guys were lions. Their mikes are now silent. We’re left with Gus Johnson.
