The '90 UCLA game was the only home game I didn't attend that season, thanks to my two dad's. I was one pissed off 9yr old. I'm pretty sure we would have won the game and the title if I was there.

You young fucks are lucky you aren't burdened with remembering 1990 UCLA . Brutal.
The following season didn't lessen the sting?
Kinda made it worse. Beat UCLA and win the natty in 90 and the 91 team doesn't have to split with anybody, and is remembered as one of the greatest teams of all time, not some "could they have beaten Miami" historical footnote.
1982 Cuog came into the game sporting two wins and a boatload of injuries having beaten only Idaho and Oregon. UW was a title contender. Size and speed difference on the field was striking. Walden led Cuog flat out hustled UW.
The loss to UCLA was the most costly. The loss to ASU is the most embarrassing. 82 WSU is a very close 2nd.
Losing at home ranked #2, with a future NFL starting QB, to a 5-6 unranked team can only be surpassed by losing at home as a #1 with a future NFL starting QB to an unranked team.
ASU loss as embarrassing as it is, is a distant 2nd or 3rd on this list.

That kind of shit didn't happen on my watch.
The UCLA loss cost us 1.5 national championships.
It will never be topped.
