Sometimes I just want to get drunk off 6 beers instead of 12, so IPA's are handy for that. Other than that meh, they are ok in certain situations.

Been drinking them since old school Ballard Bitter. But yeah, there's way too many brewers making poorly crafted hop bombs to cover their technical inadequacies.

I like rot gut beers - malt liquors are always good - Mickey's ........... (anticipation) big mouth if for nothing more than annoying people - Modelo, Coors Light, and on occasion an IPA - longhammer because it comes in 16 oz cans (4/ 5.99) and Ft George Vortex IPA

IPA was great until this ABV and quad hopped arms race bullshit started. I hate ordering a beer that makes you feel like you've sunburned your throat and puts you 4x over the legal limit in one pint.

Ya can't beat a beer that comes in a 30 pack - I normally buy that which is on sale and it started out cheap. I got a 24 pack of Modelo for 16.99 so I splurged (stoopid word that is)

A really close friend of mine was in thr Iowa Air National Guard back in the 90's while he was going to UNI. Bill Clinton was visiting their guard base for some stupid reason and he was part of the crew welcoming them in. It was in the fall and a really windy and cold, shitty, normal Iowa type day.

The motorcade pulls up, the doors on both sides open up and a bunch of PBR cans come blowing out of it.

Slick Willy was a PBR man.
