I didn't think we had any shot after he left UW on his summer visit. He was posting pictures of every other campus in America and liking a bunch of tOSU and USC shit. I'm happy I was wrong.
IMHO Tuitele projects as the best interior pass rusher of the guys we've gotten in the past two classes, which can help alleviate our Buck recruiting deficiencies over the same period. Sav'ell is the missing piece that can put us over the top.
Underrated critical point to consider is that Malloe is the primary recruiter for JT Tuimoloau for the next two years. I think that's our dream scenario given Ikaika's track record the past 14 months, and the fact that there is no chance he leaves anytime soon (as compared to Lake).

If me saying we have no shot helps us get any of McCoy, To'oto'o, Ika, McDuffie, and Foskey, I'm happy to look like an idiot when they commit.
Tui doesn’t have the foot speed of Donald or Ndamukong Sih but his use of long arms & leverage remind me of their lovechild. At 6’4 295 he almost plays DL elegantly which isn’t an insult or saying he’s soft, it’s a credit to his timing, IQ, leverage, & hip fluidity. It’s not so much a bull in a china shop it looks like this inevitability that you’re not gonna block him so just stand there like a scarecrow while he goes by you. Like he goes up to the line before and says “we can do this the easy way or the hard way” and their whole line smartly chooses the easy way. His comp is hard because I’d say Michael Bennet because of that smooth power from his hips and how he’s going to be asked to do everything for us, but he’s way bigger than Mike. I can’t say any other bruising, space eating DT’s because he’s the furthest thing from that. People say he’s polished and I agree but muscle wise, & just physical maturity, he looks really young still leaving him that much more room to grow.
Bandes is a higher ceiling Greg Gaines. That’s a really fucking good thing.
Stephon Wright reminds me so much of Gerald McCoy. He’s listed at 6’3 265 but when you see his film he looks huge. He’s got crazy long arms, long legs, to the point where it looks like he hasn’t even grown into his body yet which I personally love because it means they’re further away from their ceiling compared to guys like Fournette or Thibodeaux who are just grown ass men in high school. But Wright’s best attribute is for sure DAT ASSSSSS THOOO TALK ABOUT A POWERFUL ENGINE SHEEEEEEESH. I’ve been agreeing with ballz lately but wright to me is much more athletic, long, and flexible than Levi and I see him as a bigger, longer, quicker Jaylen who can hang more outside actually because of that arm length but when inside he’s going to be an absolute matchup nightmare. I agree with ballz overall premise tho
Then there’s Pa’ama who is a god. All I the film I needed to see was him kicking the ball off and dialing back in order to be the safety of the kickoff team and then halfway through that just saying fuck it and beating everyone down there while head hunting. I was sold. He’s kinda the opposite of the Tui elegant premise where as Pa’ama is made out of the same material as super bouncy balls because everyone just flies off him. He’s up there with Bru as best two way prospect out there. I think he’s a little smaller (but still fucking massive) but a lot twitchier than Alameda, Danny, & Vita
Btw all Pa’ama and Tui talked about was how all they knew growing up was USC and that they dreamed of going there forever. They both each took one unofficial over the summer and committed as soon as they got home. Pa’ama didn’t even visit them when he came to the mainland. Did you muhfuccas think we’d ever see the day (I still won’t be satisfied till we start getting Cali skilled guys and no 1 CB’s out of Cali but it’s a trend in the right direction) especially not after the Marlon thing.
If Bandes deserves an immediate pod so does Tuitele you fucks. A year ago you were all saying “well the best DL on the west coast is in Hawaii, true 5*, no chance we get him, all faith, family, football for him in that order..” Now we’ve got Ikaika “da God” Malloe fucking on another level, and frankly besides trolling ND Jimmy has disappointed this cycle. He’s shown that he can find underrated guys, great. I want him to close Steel, Ricks, Ringo, and close the door on elite west coast DB’s looking to the east coast “DBu’s.”
STOp. The DB class is nails and it's not done yet. Lake closes with the best of them.
"Coach Ikaika Malloe is from Hawaii as well, so he understands all the things we go through," Tuitele said. "He understands the lifestyle, understands what the transition is like going from Hawaii to the mainland, so he's going to be a real big help for me not just in football but in life and the culture. I can't wait to play for him.
"They want me playing all over the line and that's a challenge I'm going to accept. They see me anywhere from a 5-technique to a 3-tech to a zero, and it's going to be exciting to see what fits me best or just do what helps the team the most. As long as I'm doing my job to help the team succeed, that's all that matters."

Damn he losin his hair tho. Maybe my whole baby face so he still has a lot of physical maturing still left. But I mean look at his dad Jesus Christ we haven’t even seen 81% of that pure haoli beatin testosterone that Tui is going to inherit.
