I'm gonna go Albert King. SRV was the evolution of him stylistically, but never had his soul. I was tempted to go Gibbons because I'm a Houston homer and the question was "favorite" not "best." I do think Gibbons is criminally underrated and a lot of acts today like Black Keys, Jack White, etc owe a lot to ZZ Top. They brought electrified blues to pop and their shit still slays.
