It was just "light treason"
https://www.buzzfeed.com/jimdalrympleii/trump-highly-classified-information-russians?utm_term=.sqEO07YO9#.sqEO07YO9President Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian officials during a meeting last week at the White House, two US officials confirmed to BuzzFeed News.
The meeting included Russia's ambassador, Sergei Kislyak, and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The disclosures were first reported by The Washington Post, which cited current and former US officials who said the information was considered so sensitive that some details had been withheld from American allies and was restricted within the US government.
Two US officials who were briefed on Trump’s disclosures last week confirmed to BuzzFeed News the veracity of the Post report, with one official noting that “it’s far worse than what has already been reported.”

As they say, not a good look.
Waiting for the first person to poast "HIllary's emails!!!!11!!"
If Hillary is any indication of how this works, the charges won't stick. Next.
the President can declassify any document. Sounds like he did just that last week, albeit inadvertently.
Sounds like he was pretty foolish and we are unlikely to have a great intelligence-sharing relationship in the future with whatever country and whatever source gave us that intel on ISIL, though.
Republicans will never impeach.

Sike! Love you bro!
But, the Constitution sez "treason, bribery, and high crimes and misdemeanors."
A decent case can be made for at least two of those four, if not all four.
“The White House has got to do something soon to bring itself under control and in order,” Senator Bob Corker, Republican of Tennessee and the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, told reporters, adding, “It’s got to happen.”
“Obviously they’re in a downward spiral right now and they’ve got to figure out a way to come to grips with all that’s happening,” Mr. Corker said.
Asked about the larger effect of the disclosure, Mr. Corker said, “To compromise a source is something that you just don’t do, and that’s why we keep the information that we get from intelligence sources so close as to prevent that from happening.”
Out of his element, in over his head.
Of course WaPo and Buzzfeed say that Trump gave out the city in Syria where the source is located, which would tantamount to giving out the source, when talking to the Russians.
If only there was a tape recorder in the White House that could resolve this conundrum!
According to Sean Spicer, the existence of such equipment can be neither "confirmed or denied."
CNN and MSNBC has lost all credibility with their reporting. The New York Times and Washington Post aren't far behind. The emotions are taking over.
Either way the shitshow will be chinteresting
