The doog in me is saying that if the coaches dropped him they’re doing it to make room. Maybe they know something about a big time commit coming soon.
Typical Doog Update: yeah they made room alright..... for Kyle Patterson that is.
That’s exactly my thoughts too. I’d have no problem if they told him they were moving on, it’s validate what they say about their “commitment” process, but they better have an equal for use that scholarship even if it’s at a different position. Can’t afford to lose guys that good and then just pass the scholarship on to a walk-on or lesser player. That’d be bad process and bad results.
As much as I know you made it up, it’s interesting for a kid who doesn’t tweet much (and the rare times he does he deletes them all) to subtweet something. It may not be about UDUB but knowing Pete, he doesn’t like to be begging at the feet of teenagers, a lot of the times to his own demise. In his presser he sounded pretty hopeless when talking about fighting against “the vultures” but with the biggest game he’s ever coached in coming up, Hammer being seen as a shoe-in, Ford being close to his decision, & Patterson not being good enough to exhaust resources on, it makes me wonder if they wanna spend time on Puka and/or Henry.
Paraphrasing, but "So it's gonna be like that, huh?"
Wouldn't be surprised if they let him know that his spot is gone. Fuck around lay around, see ya in the funny pages. Too bad, he could have been a stud in this D.
I wouldn't say dropped. I'd say dropped in the order. The order right now would likely be Heimuli, Tootoo, and Ford in any order for spots 21,22, and 23. Those three would be guaranteed those spots. If a 24th spot is available then that's there for Nacua, Patterson and Turner. If earlier spots open up then they move up accordingly. I think he might have been told it's wait and see now if there are even spots available.

So first he was playing hard to get but now the coaches have flipped the script on him and are playing hard to get and making him feel worried that he might not have UW as an option if he waits too long to decide? Bold strategy if true.
I think Asa is very smart to wait to commit if he is truly undecided. Notre Dame is outstanding academically and their football program is on a roll, as is UW. As a private school ND has certain advantages over UW. As a large public institution in a major metropolitan area UW has certain advantages over ND.
So Carlsbad went to Ohio State’s practice today, Asa not included, but interesting to note and see if they’ll be invited to attend a UW practice this week.

Coaches told him his spot was no longer held. No question about it.
I'm not sure we're the right choice for you. Try another company and see if that's a better fit
Works 81% of the time
