Sirmon's highlights looked great, but then the full picture started being reported and I backed off. I always wondered what the hell people saw in Yankoff. "So is the plan to get him in and teach him how to throw?..." I was still shellshocked from Cyley Mirus, and Yankoff's commitment totally triggered me. Their throwing mechanics were way too similar. He had an NFL arm according to noted talent evaluator @GhostofMosster47, though. So he had that going for him. Which is nice.
Funny thing is I was giving Mosster credit in my head while reading the thread back, as he recognized early that Morris was better than Sirmon. Then he almost immediately ruined it with his Yankoff evaluation.
I'm no smarter, though. My predicted pecking order (in terms of potential) was Garbles, Morris, Sirmon, Yankoff. So fuck me, I guess.
Can't seem to find that one commercial featuring Troy Williams as some can't-miss recruit (when he was JUCO) and that had Kevin Sumlin watching and being impressed
I caught some 60 minute replay, Utah action last night with Williams at QB. He had some tools but was scatter armed and scatter brained. He threw a couple of 20-30 yard passes so hard that his receivers didn't look like they even wanted to touch them.
After Keith Price's Sophomore year I thought we was going to be a husky legend. Then his horrible O-line turned his knees into rubber.
I've never seen anyone so slow, awkward and labored looking as a scrambler still able to be elusive and keep broken plays alive. He had a clean pocket to throw from about 1/10 of the time. The other 9 were all broken up by instant penetration by the defense.

The poster Chuck makes some good points and was right about Morris from the start.
Someone should send him an invite.
I don’t watch tape I just look for your opinion.
If everyone else would get smart and do the same then sometimes we'd all be right! No promises it'll be very often, but still so bad ass when it does happen that it's worth it.
