It's impossible to bat 1.000 in recruiting because you are dealing with teenagers that's why I was laughing at Kim for saying that. I still remember Jermiah Martin visiting the last weekend and telling people he's coming to UW because he literally told the UW coaches and players i'm coming here. Then Wednesday comes and he commits to Texas A&M and i'm like what the fuck just happened. Only in recruiting can a recruit like Smalls go from loving UW to hating UW the next month to loving them again a couple months later. Predictions change all the time because these recruits change there minds all the time. Hell even the coaches can't predict where these guys are going half the time. That's why I have respect for Ruth because she will put her opinion out and she won't be afraid to be wrong and I do the same. I'm not afraid to be wrong on a prediction but know when I do make a prediction it's based on info not some random guess.insinceredawg said:

Sad to see how far he has fallen.
Everyone here still eats up his information anytime he posts.
I think @sonics1993 does have some sources but he's far from batting 1.000. The @AcropolisJr guy seemed like he was full of shit and was either regurgitating Sonics or taking credit for obvious news (he was trying to take credit for breaking the Covington commitment when everyone already knew it was coming). -

- Never said "good chance Haener would start", only that it wouldn't surprise me if he did because they kept splitting reps with him and Eason which means they couldn't decide on a QB
- Plan was for Hunter to be limited until Devin Culp got himself suspended. That left UW with Hunter, Cade, and Luciano as the only scholarship TE's. UW had no choice but to give him all those reps because Devin can't get out of his own way.
If you want to question me go ahead but I was the first person to say Smalls eliminated us, that Myles was coming here, that we would beat Oregon for Roger, that we would have Jalen and Rome locked up by summers end.
1. Things do change, rendering once correct info incorrect. We like to mock that idea here because Kim is such a moron and it came from him, but it is true sometimes.
2. Nobody knows everything that goes on in the coach offices, not even their lackeys, managers, assistants, friends and relatives of players or staff, etc (who tend to be the ones leaking info, suspicions, and things they've heard to guys like you or DDY).
Coaches are the only ones who know everything, and they aren't posting here or knowingly sharing anything behind the scenes with the expectation of it making it to msg boards. Anything that leaks this far is going to be second or third hand at best and was never I tended to be shared publicly (unless its Sark and staff manipulating people via fan sites like doogman). Non-retards understand that a lot of it wont come true for a variety of reasons, and that it's not the fault of those who share the tidbits if it turns out wrong.
The critics need to take a walk and get some perspective. Kim taking your money then making excuses for being wrong 81% of the time is one thing. Sonics posting shit he has heard for free is completely different. If you're pissed about anything he said not coming true then you're just being stupid. -
Listen there are some coaching staffs that have no idea what is happening. UCLA rejected a WR commit last year because Chip really thought Bru was coming. Then Bru calls to tell them he's going to USC, Chip acts like a asshole to him then tries to get that WR he rejected only for that WR to tell him to fuck off.chuck said:

Yeah I dont doubt that at all. I meant that the coaches know what they are doing, who they are offering and prioritizing, etc. I realize they rarely know what a recruit is going to do until after he does it or at least informs them directly.sonics1993 said:

Well there was the time when Latu tried to take a official visit to UCLA in September but the coaches told him we don't do official visits during the season. That weekend they tripped four guys officially and Latu never took a UCLA call again. Then there was the genius idea where they didn't talk to Daniel Hemuli for over three months and then called him out of the blue trying to schedule a home and official visit and he was like "uh no thanks, you stopped talking to me for three months".NoWarningJustDawg said:

It's amazing how simple otherwise smart folks on here can be sometimes. Dont worry. The non-retards know that:sonics1993 said:
- Yup wrong about Esteen, really thought Hector would swoop in and take his spot but sadly he waited to long.RoadDawg55 said:
It’s not just Dennis. The unnamed Messiah in one week posted here that Esteen lost his spot, Hunter Bryant would be limited until USC, and that there was a good chance Haener would start. I’m so over anyone pretending they are close to the program so they get internet backslaps.bananasnblondes said:
Are you suggesting the guy who twice said that all his sources inside the program have told him that Haener had been named the starter doesnt actually have real/reliable sources?dnc said:

Sad to see how far he has fallen.
Everyone here still eats up his information anytime he posts.
If you're pissed about anything he said not coming true then you're just being stupid.
...even if you have to redact names, we're a bunch of petty, schadenfreude-loving TBSers thirsty for this kind of stuff... -

Like I don't know shit, but I wouldn't be surprised if he has taken some looks around, filtered out the noise, and figured out that UW is going to win it all and his choice is whether he misses out or lives the legend.
He has seen what’s out there, and had a sit down with Buffy where she had a real talk about real life and what this program and Pete are really about. Her son had an amazing time at UW and was set for success and even after a devastating injury where many schools would shove him down, he was buoyed up by the staff and drafted and is getting rave reviews in Falcons camp.
And Sav’ell has talent and potential that Jordan never had.
Now Sav’ell is looking at the talent in the Freshman and RS Freshman classes and looking at the talent being brought in this class which is his.
But most importantly he knows Sam Fucking Huard is on the way. JTT is on the way. Emeka is on the way. Simon is on the way.
Sav’ell is a good kid. He is a good student. He is a hard worker and busts his ass to get better. He has dealt with injuries, other teams and players getting into his head, fans that flip on him at the drop of a hat, and coaches who haven’t developed his talent.
If he comes to UW he will have the surrounding talent he needs to win a National Championship. And he will have the coaching to develop him into a top 5 pick.
We would be fucking lucky to have that kid come here.
Bump, because this kid is a fucking good kid and he's a great fucking player and we would be lucky to have him here. Fuck everyone who shit on him when he took us out for a bit because he had the wrong people in his ear telling him the wrong shit and praying on his weaknesses.
I listened to his interview with Softy so the rest of you don't have to.
About his decision to leave UW off his list and his interview with Huffman, followed by UW coming back in it:
"That's why I always wanted to give myself time to commit. That's why I wanted to wait, and I never wanted to just commit and have to be committed. Because teenagers, we're always changing our minds every day. We can't make up our minds on what to eat. That's why I always wanted to allow myself the chance to make mistakes, but not be too catastrophic.
I was able to eliminate UW, there were some things going on in my life and I felt like leaving the city would be best for me. Just so I can mature more and become a better person and a better player. But then you know, I matured over the last few months. Being around in the city more and being around Sam, I just know it's not an opportunity I'm just ready to cut away yet. I'm not sure exactly where I'm going to end up, but I know it was pretty premature to just cut them off and be like 'nah I'm done'. Especially with so many advantages there would be to stay home, and all the opportunities I would get to stay home. I just had to be smart, just keep getting closer to myself, and find out what I need and what I want and what I want to achieve in this life. And UW definitely provides a lot of good opportunities. So I just needed to give myself a chance to at least keep the relationship open and see where it goes."
Biggest pros about playing for the Huskies:
"You have to ask me on a different day. Today it would be, #1 the business school. But tomorrow when it's game day and I am in my football mind, it would be how they develop players. Because they develop players like no other. I just saw someone on twitter the other day, it was like UW is top in the Pac or top in the country in developing players, and it's not even close. Obviously, that's a real big perk. But the business school is extremely crazy as well. They're developing entrepreneurs the same way Coach Pete and Coach K and Coach Malloe are developing defensive and offensive players. They're a well rounded school. Some schools are just real big on football but the academics might lack. Other schools are big on academics but the football might lack. But it's a pretty well rounded school, and I feel like I'm pretty well rounded person, so I feel like it would be a good match."
Keeping a 5-Star linebacker home in Seattle would be more appreciated, does that appeal:
"The biggest thing for me staying home would be getting 3 more years with my family. If I stay home I can get on the freeway and drive to my house in 20 minutes from UW. Being able to have 3 more years to impact my community would be big as well."
I fucking love this kid, and I hope to God we get him. He deserves the right to play for Seattle, play for UW, play for Coach Pete, be developed by Coach K, be developed by Socha, get his fucking UW degree, and win a goddamn national championship playing next to JTT and with Sam fucking Huard and Emeka Egbuka, and the rest of the elite kids coming in.
And we deserve to watch him destroy the college football world in Purple and Gold.
Doog the fuck on, and pray we are lucky enough to lose our voices screaming at his sacks for 3 years before he goes pro.
