All I want are OKG's. OKG's have NFL talent and are really good dudes. I don't care what their star rating is. The stars are a joke especially when it comes to UW recruiting. Joe Tryon, Jaxson Kirkland, Victor Curne, Matteo Mele, Dominique Hampton, Mosiah Nasili-Liu, Jackson Sirmon, Devin Culp, Troy Fautanu, Sama Paama, Taj Davis, and Corey Luciano. All rated "3-star" guys who clearly have NFL talent. Give me more guys like that all day long.
Name one player committed to Oregon that UW wanted. There isn't a single one who had a committable offer from UW. Oregon can have Keyon Ware-Hudson. I prefer Sama Paama. They can have Mycah Pittman. I prefer Taj Davis. They can have Jonah Tauanu'u. I prefer Troy Fautanu. OKG's baby WOOOO! -
All Dennis said is that they're recruiting well. Whether or not we actually wanted any of their croots is besides the point, the point being that Oregon can close the kids they want, which we often can't.StrongArmCobra said:All I want are OKG's. Also, at various points we would've taken the commitments of:
Mykael Wright
Jeremiah Criddell
Jayvaun Wilson
Mycah Pittman
Sean Dollars
...and we are still recruiting (or would love to have):
Mase Funa
Jonah Tauanu'u
Patrick Herbert
Treven Ma'ae
We never offered the kids from the Southeast they have (Bridges and Wilhoite), but we would probably have taken those commitments.
Stop being a fucking Doog. -
If you look at Oregon's class vs. ours here's how I feel:
QB = push.
RB = I like Davis better, but it's close.
WR = Ducks
TE = Ducks
OL = UW, but their class is good
DL = UW all day, every day.
BUCK = Ducks
LB = UW
DB = UW given that Wright won't qualify. -
Hey, so, remember in the Humphrey’s thread when I told Lux (jack cobra) that he should stop speaking in absolutes about who the coaches want or don’t want or like better based purely on his own speculation because it was retarded. And then I told him not to be a retard?StrongArmCobra said:All I want are OKG's. OKG's have NFL talent and are really good dudes. I don't care what their star rating is. Yeah, so, same thing applies here. Yes, all the 3 stars you listed are incredible and I love that they’re committed and I’m going to root so hard for them. But to say you wouldn’t take 1 player that the Ducks have because they are overrated or you are sure they aren’t OKG’s.....
Yeah that’s retarded too.
Don’t be a retard. -
StrongArm already acknowledged his? process for rating recruits.DoogCourics said:

If they want to be Dawgs they are smart.
If they don't want to be Dawgs they are not smart.
If they are smart we want them.
If they are not smart then obviously we don't want them.
It's science. -

Until you prove otherwise, I'm going to assume you have an extra chromosome.Dennis_DeYoung said:Oregon is doing a great job recruiting kids. We are doing a really good job, but only with poly kids. Thank god there are so many good poly kids on the coast because if we had to rely on black/white kids we would be recruiting like Oregon State.
Until we actually get a commit from a top 250 black kid with a decent offer, I will assume we are going to miss everyone.
Oregon is destroying it in recruiting. -
There’s a lot of doom and gloom around here considering HH never thought Tuitele would come to UW, or we? would get serious consideration from McCoy or To’oto’o, so take a minute and remember that we? signed the best DT in Cali last year, have a commitment from 3/4 of the best DT this year (again one being the best in Cali, and one the best player in Hawaii,) we? have the most outrageous DB room in the country, the OL recruiting took off, and we? are still in play on some of the top players in the west who are all planning on committing later in the season. We? will never sign a buck, but in all seriousness if we? land a surprise like Latu or To’oto’on it wouldn’t even be that much of a shock considering how strong the class is, and how we? finished last years recruiting cycle. At this point in time, I’m more concerned with the product on the field, because that will sell the last few holdouts better than being better salesman than Oregon.

This bored is bi-polar. When we get good news (Buelow makes it official!) we talk about the potentially greatest UW class of all time. When we get bad news ("The storm is coming" never materialized) we talk about how we'll never sign a decent BUCK, ever.Thebourbinator said:There’s a lot of doom and gloom around here considering HH never thought Tuitele would come to UW, or we? would get serious consideration from McCoy or To’oto’o, so take a minute and remember that we? signed the best DT in Cali last year, have a commitment from 3/4 of the best DT this year (again one being the best in Cali, and one the best player in Hawaii,) we? have the most outrageous DB room in the country, the OL recruiting took off, and we? are still in play on some of the top players in the west who are all planning on committing later in the season.
