I like it. Sirmon is probably only here three years whether he redshirts or not, Yankoff gives you a viable backup and a great option to start for two years post Sirmon. If you can sell him on that, bring him in.
He's also a former Oregon commit which makes this even more fun. -

Ricky Towns and San Darnold anyone? Not saying Sirmon is Towns, but Yankoff is the better QB in my opinion and I said as much months ago.
Yankoff and the kid going to USC are the best QB's on the West. -

That was before he was aware UW was taking another QB. This isn't some Jake Haener type in the same class that would be a minor annoyance to Sirmon as a 2nd QB, taken mostly for numbers and depth. This is taking a bonafied stud, future pro.Meek said:

I doubt the coaches would take Yankoff unless they thought he was the better QB. You wouldn't jeopardize getting Sirmon to do that.
Sirmon loves UW, blah, blah... No top QB prospect would put themselves through this when they can pick just about any other school in the country. -
