I like it. Sirmon is probably only here three years whether he redshirts or not, Yankoff gives you a viable backup and a great option to start for two years post Sirmon. If you can sell him on that, bring him in.
One could make a legitimate argument Yankoff is better. Watch his film. He's a stud.

Yankoff reportedly put up a 39" vert at one of the camps. He reminds me of ... wait for it ... Marcus Mariota. His upside is that good.
He's also a former Oregon commit which makes this even more fun.
If Yankoff does come it means Sirmon is gone or Yankoff is confident he's better.
Ricky Towns and San Darnold anyone? Not saying Sirmon is Towns, but Yankoff is the better QB in my opinion and I said as much months ago.
Yankoff and the kid going to USC are the best QB's on the West.
really? what about all that recruiting for UW that Sirmon's been doing...what do you think is actually going on?
That was before he was aware UW was taking another QB. This isn't some Jake Haener type in the same class that would be a minor annoyance to Sirmon as a 2nd QB, taken mostly for numbers and depth. This is taking a bonafied stud, future pro.
I doubt the coaches would take Yankoff unless they thought he was the better QB. You wouldn't jeopardize getting Sirmon to do that.
Sirmon loves UW, blah, blah... No top QB prospect would put themselves through this when they can pick just about any other school in the country.
Oops, I was wrong: Only a 38" vert as a junior in high school. On his HUDL page he claims 39" though. The numbers above are from The Opening in New Orleans last weekend. Biggins thinks he's the most athletic QB in the 2018 class.

that Osborne and Spiker signed up. Don't
want to see collateral damage if somehow
this doesn't work out.
