Interesting. Offered a Georgia Kid
of change in philosophy? Can't
remember ever offering a Georgia
kid before. Maybe a play on our
excellent DB Combine results.

Hopefully this will leave us all like this:

Could get him and hate him, in which case we'll feel like this:

But most likely he won't come here and we'll be like whuggy, axing this:

Actually I really hope it's a sign
that we are stretching our normal
recruiting areas. When the new rule
comes in this year, can the 10th asst.
coach be a designated recruiter? -
Not sure about "designated" but I'm sure many schools will give him a lot of recruiting responsibilities.whuggy said:Actually I really hope it's a sign

Why the fuck would we want to waste time in GA? This kid is never coming to WA.whuggy said:Actually I really hope it's a sign

He's a DB. If it was any other position I'd agree. But I think Jimmy Lake has earned the right to swing for the fences on random kids like this.Dennis_DeYoung said:

Jimmy Lake is going to have a hard time this year. The only thing that could be profitable about doing this is that maybe kids outside the area don't realize he tried to leave at the end of last year and couldn't pull the trigger.NEsnake12 said:

That's going to be tough for him to overcome, I think. -
Position coaches move around frequently. I think you guys are overstating this concern a little bit. Lake will just tell them he wasn't ever interested in leaving he just had to play it out to get a raise.Dennis_DeYoung said:

It's a concern for kids like Gordon who were probably aware of it as it was happening. For kids who come around later on I'm not worried about it.
Lake gets the benefit of the doubt for me.
