That whole Utah thing just made me shut down. I don't even know what happened there but reading a thread title on here about him visiting Utah just sent me into a dark spiral.dnc said:
Dude loves @Dennis_DeYoung. He was never in doubt.Mad_Son said:I honestly was afraid to check the signing day results in case Ty didn't sign with UW. I haven't been recruiting for weeks since I can't handle the ups and downs. I am super relieved right now though. I never thought a WR would ever be my favorite signee in a recruiting class.
You two got a thing about collars, or what? -

Star average is the only thing that really means anything so long as we aren't taking classes of 7-8 people.RaceBannon said:
I think oregon has a lower star average, the other three are slightly higherBaseman said:
Star average or total points?RaceBannon said:Scout has Oregon ranked ahead of UW.
UW is 4 behind SC, ducks, Bruins, Card
NOGAF because we got to the playoffs with worse classes than this one
It will be remembered for the ones that got away until we see the ones that signed play
The reason why star average is important is that - although it's flawed, obviously - that people who are over and under rated are probably pretty randomly distributed (though, you are always going to have kids like Rapp from WA that receive slightly less attention). So given that, your overall average tells you about the level you are recruiting at.
Our star average this year was 3.5, best in years. I would like to see that move up a bit next year, but what that metric tells me is we are recruiting kids that are all basically 4-star levels of talent.
The only kids I would say clearly 'aren't' are Haener (the only DDY 1 in the class - so you can plan on him starting the NC game next January), Otton and Lolohea if his mom ever lets him sign. -
Very happy for Ty that it is all over and he is at UW ... very happy for UW that they have Ty in the program ...
I have a feeling that this is the beginning of a beautifulfriendshipaffair ... -

USC's class is clearly the best in the pac. If the script holds true, they will fall flat on their face next sesson. Stanford's is 2nd, but has only like 13 commits (2nd time in the last few years Shaw has taken a ridiculously small class). UW, UCLA, and Oregon's classes are about equal but Oregon has 6 more players coming in than UW.
Then there's a pretty big dropoff. -
UW has like twice the 4 stars than those schools... Oregon has like 4 and ucla has like 6-7bananasnblondes said:USC's class is clearly the best in the pac.
