If your classes are relatively balanced, your development program is excellent and the character of the kids you recruited can handle the stress, 20th should be all you need.

Sounds like something you'd say if you were in the WAC Petersen!!!!!!!!!
Average star rating, offers, and class balance is what you need to look at, not this numerical rank bullshit.
Sark had a "top 10" class one year that was way worse than this one. It had the high ranking because he took 30 kids and filled the class with a bunch of guys like James Atoe and Cooper Pelleur, and guys who had no chance of getting in
#20 is fine as a rule but is a bit of a letdown for this year. Momentum a few months ago pointed toward a possible top 10 rating. It really fizzled and they didn't close on any big name guys who were deciding late.

It sounds like you think the two are mutually exclusive.

Because the opinions of Kim, fetters and Ruth regarding a 17 year old kids athletecism and capability to develop into a productive college football player is really all that matters

Sark had a lot of highly rated classes IIRC. The difference is player development.
Following recruiting is for fags.
Common myth. His classes were in the top 30 because there were so many players in them. He surrounded a few guys with high ratings with a bunch of plan D guys and Fetters 3* for whom UW was the only major offer.
