The thing is, Ford is a project recruit (high ceiling but unpolished) as an OFFENSIVE LINEMAN, which is where everyone was assuming he was going to play.

Now he wants to play defense.

I doubt he has an offer from UW as a defensive lineman.

Maybe most taller guys just choose to play another position. Doesn't mean that this tall guy can't be good at DT or DE, with the right motivation and coaching.
