Ty Jones will be the first and last recruit that Petersen allows to commit without visiting.
Also, again I have to wonder if both Weddington and Jones were told that their spot was gone if they visited another school. The announcement of Joseph Lewis visiting came right after Bush visited Ty Jones. If this is the way it went down, I love it. Petersen showing he won't be a cuckold. -

It takes more than one year of winning. I went to school with and knew both Tony coats and Benji Olsen. I also knew Andy Petersen well but he was older than me. There was little question from any of them about where they wanted to go, UW was a great school their entire lives that put a ton of talent in the NFL.
The Fozzys do not have that, UW was awful and Sark was the recruiter when they started to think about college. This shit doesn't fix itself overnight.
Not to mention that Petersen is a straight up recruiter. When they ask "will I play as a freshman", the Sark's of the world say "hell yeah you will be kicking ass right out the gate." Petersen responds with "you will work hard in school, work hard and compete in practice. You will see the field when you bust your ass." Some kids love that. Others want to be told whatever they want to hear.
Reality is, we only want kids who come in and want to work hard and compete. -
Jones visited unofficially at least once over the summer.bananasnblondes said:Ty Jones will be the first and last recruit that Petersen allows to commit without visiting.

He committed weeks before that though. There was a lot of talk about why Petersen would let him commit without visiting. The response was that Jones was going to visit the following week. That didn't happen as Jones kept pushing the visit back, and then he finally made the unofficial visit.NEsnake12 said:

Eklund said this morning that Ty is gone. Utah coaches convinced him he needs to stay close to mommy.

Why do we think that Joseph Lewis is visiting? He isn't listed as being a visitor anywhere that I've seen.

Thank God. I was starting to worry we might actually lose him.bananasnblondes said:NEsnake12 said:

This wreaks of mommy and daddy missing their baby, rather than thinking of his own best interest. utah is an inferior academic institution, and Jones will spend the next few years trying to catch inaccurate passes.

Parents need to let their kids go. The only reason to stay close to home is if you're dirt poor and can't afford basic needs in college.

Both are good, but I'm honestly not even worried at all

Reality is, the track record of the coaches is to coach kids up. Look at the first round NFL projections at the beginning of the year, no huskies. Now there are 2-3 that could be in the first round, 3 months later.RoadDawg55 said:Both are good, but I'm honestly not even worried at all
Point is, yes having recruits with stars and shit is cool. But one or two players isn't going to break the team. I'm more worried about a Browning replacement and no one on here seems to be worried even tho we might only have one more year with him. -

Then it sounds like we should have a QB on our roster next year to redshirt then sit the following year behind Jake. Either way, the doesn't seem to be a replacement. Maybe we can recruit a Montana state graduate transfer. I hear that's the thing now.CuntWaffle said:

it's not no chance. but it's highly unlikely. he'd need to get a lot strongerCuntWaffle said:

I always love how these topics turn into something completely unrelated to the original intent. This topic is now about jake browning.

Bumping my own post because they finally did a trip report on Foster and the last bit I posted was almost word for word what he said.bananasnblondes said:Chaz Ah You said it really opened his eyes and could see himself going there.
He still visits Stanford and BYU the last two weeks of January so there is no chance there.
I'm sure we'll here about Foster's courtesy visit later in the week which will undoubtedly start off with, "I've been to UW many times so I know what they're all about..." -
or bananasnblondes confirmed to be Foster himself.bananasnblondes said:

So many things would make sense if that were true -
