Let's assume Petersen decides to keep Jonathan Smith who do you want as UW's coach next year?

Did I miss some bored joke that explains why is poll even exists?

A lot of people seem to think we can't win regularly with Jonathan Smith as our offensive coordinator. I think I'm one of them. This is basically asking, despite the tremendous improvement in every other facet, if Smith stays do people still think Petersen is the right coach. Like we could be the best 7-6 team of all time but if we continually blow games because we have stupid-as-Sark play calling then what's the difference? Miles is only the other choice as a reminder that there are literally available coaches out there who have won national championships. The point of this is not a debate about who the best coaches in the country are but if you have faith in a Smith-limited Petersen program.

This isn't hard and we have been over this many times.
If you want to criticize Smith, have the balls to criticize
Petersen at the same time. The rearranging the deck chairs
theory never works. If the head coach wants Smith then I want Smith.
If Pete wants to fire him then I want him fired. This is all on the
head coach. Scapegoating assistants totally misses the point.

I disagree. When you have the WRONG coach no amount of rearranging matters.

When you have the right coach, it matters (see Saban: Alabama).

This isn't a poll about whether or not to keep Smith. It is about Petersen and if you think he is the right guy if he makes a choice, that many have derided on this board as a terrible choice, that limits the program.

Les Miles sucks. Not even a debate. Babuschka's offense >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Miles' offenses.

If there is a guy who has done less with more in the entire country it would be Les Miles. Peterson has a long history of success, including this year. If he had a punter and a better OC(which are both fixable) than he's light years ahead of miles.

    1) "Miles is only the other choice as a reminder that there are literally available coaches out there who have won national championships. The point of this is not a debate about who the best coaches in the country are but if you have faith in a Smith-limited Petersen program."

    2) There are numerous articles about Miles studying more dynamic offenses in an effort to upgrade to something more effective.

Ok. I think Petersen is the right guy if he keeps
Smith because I don't see him doing anything that
limits his chance of winning. He thought Pease
limited his chance of winning so cut his ass. He'll
do the same with Smith if the situation calls for it.
I hope Petersen is here whatever HE decides.

    Exactly.

The question is will the coach choose to rearrange. Like if Petersen chooses to get rid of Smith for someone who has double digit brain cells then this poll is a no-brainer. The coach has to be the one making the change though. An AD who coerces the change shows you have the wrong coach. Hence the question presented is if Petersen is the right guy if he keeps doing everything right except for one majorly limiting thing that is wrong.

Have you seen Les Miles offenses as of late? Specifically the QB play?

UW has three senior starters on offense and two on defense. Second team shows one senior on offense, one on defense, both behind starters who are under classmen.

We return two top running backs and qb who are among the best in Husky history and the nation.

There is zero doubt Washington will begin next season as a top 5 team.
