I ran my own hobby bored for years. Too many boreds ruin a site.
Fact. So do countless threads about the same topic. I love "the shag" style of one thread per topic where the fire Charlie thread is at 333 pages, the A&M thread over 900, and the conference realignment at over 1300.
I don't get it. Chip Kelly is a mediocre to bad NFL coach. Why would Oregon want to hire him?
Your handle sucks.

Oh, are you the official faggot taking tickets to ride the bandwagon? I seen enough with the Pick and getting owned by Cam, time for purple to reign again!

Chip Kelly wouldn't be the same coach if he came back to college football. He was a great coach at Oregon, but it was partly because of being at the right place at the right time.
He's made a shit load of money and his ego has gotten out of control. He's already made a fortune. I don't think he would be shitty in college football, but like Spurrier his best days are behind him. He's not matching his past success, even if he coaches at Oregon again.

I'll second that. Unless he has a 2.0 Chip Kelly offense in his back pocket that no one in cfb has seen again there is no way he would have the same success as he did the first time.
Plus as LSU/Auburn/Ohio State/everyone in the NFL has shown, when you have the DL up front to take away the tb off the read zone, the ends don't have to crash and suddenly that play doesn't work.
As long as we have the Pete's (Peterson and Kwitkowsk) here and are recruiting/developing the likes of Gaines/Vea/Qualls let Oregon bring him back. All that does is give them a false sense of "everything will be ok now".
First, Chip's man crush is a head coach in south Florida now, which explains the mood swings and extreme weight gain.
Second, he would be crazy to come back to Oregon. The Spurrier reference was fucking stupid because you're comparing the same guy at Florida compared to South Carolina. That's like comparing a guy that was the coach at USC that later went to Pullman. Of course he will be better in LA, he's the same guy in a better situation. No matter what Chip does he isn't going to live up to what he did previously long term and wouldn't have anyway. Sure, he'd be infinitely better than Helfrich, but winning the conference 75% of the time wasn't happening in the aggregate.
Third, you're an idiot if you think Chip wouldn't have any college program kicking ass within three years. Most great coaches are terrible in the NFL because they are the lowest paid guy in the room with the biggest ego and the players know they are going to fire the coach before they fire all of them. Urban is running the zone read and he's still smashing the fuck out of everyone. It's not what you do, it's how you do it.
