So, did Jenn Cohen take Jimmy Cornell out to lunch?

Being a Tyee member and huge Willingham fan, Cornell had jumped through the necessary hoops with the athletic department to be able to attend practice with his father. After doing so, he went and wrote an innocuous post on the premium message board of Dawgman.com. He jokingly sneered at the posters who wanted Willingham fired, saying that the team was working hard and looking great.

Willingham, who frequently read newspapers, websites and message boards where discussions on Husky football prevailed, was livid. A call came from the athletic department that Cornell and his dad were banned from all practices. Cornell was still in a state of shock when he fielded another call.

“Jennifer Cohen, a really nice lady from the athletic department, called me,” recalled Cornell. “She apologized for Willingham’s behavior and said things had been tense around there. She offered to take me out to lunch to smooth things over and that she appreciated our support of the program. But she said that at this time it’s up to Willingham to let you back into practice. I don’t think I did anything wrong. I defended the guy and said the players were giving great effort.

Haha, I put my name on a sign up sheet and walked into practice. No hoops to jump through. Ed Donnatell had the players attention and they were practicing hard.

I split the tyee minimum with my first dad. Yes, I really do have two dads. I come from a broken home. It was only $250 bucks extra at the time for the tree donation. Im no Fleenor. I no longer pay for season tickets.

She did offer lunch, and she never followed through. Shocker. She was nice over the phone and then I met her in person and got my first glimpse of how fake she was as a person and that most everyone who worked in the AD department was blatantly superficial and there was lots of hanging out and it was clear there was zero work ethic. It was that moment I had what alcoholics call the moment of clarity.

Though Jeff Bechtold is a hard worker and a good guy. Jim Daves might be the biggest prick I have ever met. Even a bigger prick than pulltracker if that is possible. Though I will say Daves appeared to work pretty hard.

Thanks for the free pub and the additional listens to the pod. Last night's recording was by far the most fun of 100 or so recordings.

Good day to be a dawg.

    Hey Race - enjoy yourself.

    Johnnie Kirton is dead?

He nearly killed me when I tried tackling him in 10th grade. Of all the talent Willingham wasted, his might upset me the most. #wescofanboy #RIP

I once purposely bitched out of tackling Jonathon Stewart at the Central team camp. I made a weak attempt at his ankles from the side to make it look like I tried.

He ran two dives and broke both for TD's. Luckily he came out after that.
You would have fit right in with the Alamo Bowl Huskies of 2011.
