Don scheduled Pacific several times. They were the epitome of a cupcake.
Coach James would not necessarily have heartburn over the schedule, but the penalties would have pissed him the fuck off.
scheduled them twice. 1981 and 1992.
and 87'.
When Toledo, San Jose St or Bowling Green weren't available.
Trying to equate Toledo, San Jose State and Bowling Green with Idaho State? Let me guess, this isn't another passive aggressive attempt to defend Sark.
You know what they have in common, they are all a guaranteed W.
Some people act like we have never played a cupcake before this season.
Great, Idaho St is the slowest of the one legged kids.
Idaho St is in a wheelchair and is fed through a tube. They're in the bottom 10% percent of FCS. UCLA played New Mexico State tonight. There's No reason pool beotch can't schedule shitty 1-a teams instead. He's just doing it to inflate stats and make sure gimmes are 99.9% likely instead of 97%.
Idaho & New Mexico St are FBS in name only. They both need to be dropped to FCS.
And if it was all about stats, Sark would have left Price in the whole game like the Butt Pirate did with Halliday vs. Idaho.
I agree with you that the difference is not all that much in some cases. But there is a line, and Woodward crossed it in 2011. Scheduling Idaho State and Georgia State, then asking people to pay a lot of money for those tickets is almost like asking NFL season ticket holders to pay for worthless preseason games. It's the easy way to an automatic, cheap win. It helps the a.d. but the fans, players, and the sport on general suffers.
As long as idiots keep buying season tickets, they get the fucking dreckfests that they deserve.
This game may hurt us in the long wrong. Team wins 56-0 do you really think the players are going to notice they had 16 penalties? Of course not. Shit their own dumb fuck coach was blaming the refs.
I guess the refs are out to get your undisciplined team every week then. The Huskies had one drive where they literally had 4 false starts at home in a dead environment.
Shark is a piece of shit. Sorry about being so direct, but there is no other way to put it.
His attention to detail is near zero. 16 offensive penalties is grotesque, his lack of linemen, hedious. Every good high school coach understands everthing starts on the lines (linemen.) The penalties are direct result of no coaching/development, too many inferior line recruits and too few in total numbers.

Husky football is dead and buried in the ground.
Forever buried under the man boobs of its former and current coaches, in fact.
And to make it worse in a period of about 5 minutes Damon Huard 3 times had the balls to blame the penalties on the refs. When you got someone in the broadcast booth dooging it up what chance is there to clean it up?

I tune in to listen to Rondeau. One of the great non-homer announcers ever. Had to turn it off however fairly quickly as Huard just ruins the broadcast. He's Jim Walden Jr.
A few of the penalties might have been borderline ( I didn't watch parts of the game and it was background noise too) but so what? If 13 were deserved that's still way too many. Nothing has really changed discipline wise. They can probably go 5-4 (again), end up 8-4 & doogs will just make the same excuses while Woodward can pt. to incremental progress.

That's damn good considering we were 0-12 five years ago! What did you expect?!" while Woodward can pt. to incremental progress.

Was Pacific an FCS Division-1A program with two(2) fewer coaches and twenty(20) fewer scholarships? Had Pacific been in the Big Sky with Idaho State, Eastern WA, and Portland State, they might still be playing football and slugging it out each year with Montana, Montana State et al for conference championships and making it to the FCS playoffs frequently.
