Sad to see this being pushed under the rug just so we can have a cheap, maintenance-free and durable playing surface. The cancer links and knee injury risks are pretty serious shit, on par with the concussion stuff and no one talks about it. Yet...

Just play on fucking grass. Sorry if you're muddy by the end of the season.

I don't remember which program I was watching, but there was a huge segment that focused on Soccer and it was completely based on UW and their research and team.
I guess goalies get cancer at a much higher rate. I remember thinking it's hard to prove. It was a 60 minutes or some shit. Lots of UW free pub. -
I think it was HBO real sports. It was disturbing.

I have a former teammate who has cancer. Goalie. Maybe let's not roll around in known carcinogens every day. Or how about we test a product thoroughly before we convert every fucking field to it. Just a thought.

Then play on the streets like the tac tough and Kent kids do.

Yeah, breathing in and ingesting ground-up tire bits are pretty bad for your health.
I blame the environmentalists who thought this was a good way to recycle old tires instead of having them sitting in landfills. -
It's also sustainable because we don't need to waste water on grass!!!!1
