ESPN Pumping Offseason Natty

Scrolling through the ESPN Pac-12 blog, I'm noticing a lot of optimistic blurbs about UW's chances in 2016. No real groundbreaking insights, but I did find it interesting that 8 Pac-12 teams will be starting new QBs. With perhaps a weaker slate of offenses, can Death Row in 2016 be the best defense so far under Petersen? I know Stanford and Oregon are still strong at RB, but I'm actually looking forward to those games this year knowing that we for once have an even distribution of talent.

I'm going to downvote morbid pessimism until July, it's bad for my heart to go full Damone 24/7.
Sounds like you should CARE less and THINK more.

DDY is right until proven otherwise.
I didn't say that I'll be dooging come September, sounds like you need to learn the difference.

We will find a way to 8-4.

The difference is that we all expected this when we had a drunk frat boy as a coach.

Now that we have the two-time NATIONAL coach of the fucking YEAR coaching the DAWGS, and in his third year, there is absolutely no reason to expect mediocrity. Yeah, the last two years were somewhat underwhelming, but the defense is amazing and the offense is now more experienced.

If a fucking Sark coached team can win 9 games, there is no reason a team with coaching can do better.

    WIN 10 games or DIAF

None of that contradicts my point.

We will find a way to 8-4.

    We'll be 3 4th quarter drives from 11-1.

Just wait until Browning and Gaskin are juniors. It's going to be special.

No way? Please your damn self, pumpy.

As long as Smith is still our OC, we could easily lose 4. Our fucktarded play-calling sunk us constantly. We had no offensive identity and unless Smith/Pete all of a sudden completely scrap the entirety of their love for pass-first, Kellen Moore fantasy land, we will continue to let teams that we should stomp hang around in games... then our total fucking inability to play well in clutch situations will nicely trim a few off our win total.

Our "we run plays we don't have an offense" offense is a jumbled ball of shit. We have the personnel to easily win 10, but the evidence says we will completely abandon the run when it works, kill our momentum with ridiculous formations and personnel packages and go 3 and out enough to make sure the D gets tired and frustrated.

So Dennis is optimistically looking for a 5-4 conference record, a big improvement over the back to back 4-5 records and he is a pessimist?

Sounds like you guys would fire Don James

If you aren't going to demand 14-0 in March what kind of fan are you, really?

    I don't understand how I'm not demanding. I'm just a bitter pessimist.

Austin Pettis, Andrea Bocelli, Izayah Renfroo, Chincredible, Braydon Lenius, String, Quarter Pounds, Kendall Taylor, Nikk Little, Cheeko Macklatcher and Erin Fuller agree with your statement.

You're out of your mind if you think 8-4 is out of the question. 9-3 is my early prediction. Stanford, Oregon, USC, @WSU, @arizona, @Utah. There are four conceivable losses in those 6 games.

    Inconceivable!

They could go 0-12. It's March, wgaf.

9-3 = 6-3 in conference, which would be an improvement I'd be OK with, but it'd be kind of disappointing considering the Pac looks pretty lousy this year. Is going at least 1-2 against USC, Stanford, and Oregon too much to ask?

Edit: I'm choosing to ignore the fact that we haven't beaten ASU in 37 years.
