Nick Marshall, who was a 2 year starter for Auburn, worked his way into the starting nickel corner role as a rookie last year. Albeit it was for the Jags. But there's definitely some range as far as position moving goes.
Let him be back up tight end or something. Just stop the ridiculous quarterback packages that average -.8 yards and a fumble that is returned 100 yards for a TD.
