We can agree to disagree on most things but if you think "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" means the government pays for it you're wrong. The founders greatly feared a strong central government.
It means your life is yours not a kings etc. Liberty is yours unless you piss it away being a criminal and you may work as you see fit to make you happy.
No other countries don't have as good of health care or there would not be long waiting times for what are really emergency medical procedures here. Now even here a friends father recently need a serious surgery and they had to wait to get approval to see if they would pay for it due to his age. But hey there's no death panels. I just saw a count of diagnostic machines and the difference between the US and other countries is staggering. -

The Bible is about charity not about forcibly taking peoples money to redistribute to the lazy who choose not to work or to pay for someones education, medical insurance etc. If you don't pay they put you in jail. Unless you're Al Sharpton. Hard work is always stressed in the Bible and it says idle hands are the devils playground. I give to charity. It's my choice. But now we generations sitting on their ass collecting every form of government assistance and making more than many job pays. Some states up towards 65K a year.
